First Here!

It looks like I am the first here to post. My surgery date is August 9th. Way too far away for me. I would have like something in June, but oh well. Hopefully we'll see someone else soon!

Well, I wish you well. I know the feeling of waiting mine is scheduled 8/10/04. I'm in Phoenix, AZ and I'm very excited to have this done. It's been a long and sometimes difficult journey, after I've been declined by insurance company 2 times but they finally reversed it. Anyway, I hope and wish you good luck in your new journey. I am in Massachusetts and my surgery is scheduled for August 13th. It will be a year and one week since my original consult with the doctor. I am really looking forward to it getting here and have a feeling the time will go fast especially since it is going to be summer time. I would hate to have to wait 4 months during the winter. Thanks.

Hi everyone My surgery date is tentative August 18th I am still awaiting approval, I have to finish paying a 500 fee before they submit for approval Like you all i wi**** was sooner, i could have had it in june but with my daughter graduating and all i felt better to wait out the summer months Oh well stay in touch all and keep me posted ok be good and god bless nancy

I go on August 20th. I have the same surgeon as Tracie. I am actually kinda glad it is in August. It gives me time to lose a little more weight before surgery! Anyways, glad to meet you all! I am sure we will have lots to talk about! *~Amber~*

Hi Tracie! I began my journey on Feb. 13 and got my date today! I had been calling BC/BS weekly since then trying to get them to get organized and get the ball rolling. I feel completely blessed!!!! Surgery date: Monday, August 16th (Open RNY) Jacque

I began my journey February 2004. I received my date yesterday - AUGUST 16th with tentative insurance approval! What a coincidence! I too am having open RNY. Tracy
