DID YOUR INSURANCE COVER TUMMY TUCK AND BREAST LIFT?

Hello to all August,2004 post op. My name is carmen and my surgery was on August 2004,since that I have lost 120 pounds and I'm looking now for tummy tuck and breast lift ,, my insurance cover the surgery but I dont know if the insurance cover this 2 procedures ,, I have health parners and I'm trying to find out if somebody have this procedure and the insurance over them ,if not any imformation about what can I do or where can I go.

I had a tummy tuck and a breast lift on 06/05/06. My insurance did cover both procedures completely. I had a one night hospital stay. I, however, have Blue Cross Blue Sheild. Good Luck Leslie 280/150/140??????? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Carmen, I'm wondering the same thing. I'm just now beginning to inquire about the tummy surgery. I have Cigna and know I'm gonna have an uphill fight all the way. I've heard that if you're having back pain from the weight of the skin, or rashes under the fold, the insurance companies are more likely to deem it "medically necessary" and willing to pay for it. So guess what? My back now hurts and when I shower, I'm no longer drying under the folds and will hopefully get a slight rash so I can visit my Dr and have it documented. The things we'll do for vanity LOL....
