Wow! I'm having surgery too at 7:30 am on Monday. Very cool! I can't wait for us all to be on the other side and start posting to this forum as post-ops! Good luck to all of you and you'll be in my prayers right up until they put me to sleep Monday!
Topic: 8/27 Surgery Date
This note is for the 47, if I counted correctly, brothers and sisters that are having surgery with me on August 27th. I will be thinking about each one of you. Keep a positive attitude, do everything they tell you, and walk, walk, walk. This surgery is giving us a second chance at a longer, healthier, more productive life. Let's live it to the fullest.
I believe that I will be home on Sunday. I hope to hear from each one of you with an update on how you are doing when you get home. We are a special group that can help each other through the rough times because we will be experiencing similar changes at the same time.
Talk with you when I get home.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken time to wish me well on my surgery page. This past week has been extremely busy rushing to get all the details lined up for surgery. I think I have gotten everything done except pack the suitcase.
Because of a transportation problem, I will be leaving for surgery on Monday evening so will not be in a position to respond to any emails. Thanks you all again. I will send a note when I get home. Plans are for me to come home on Sunday if all goes well. Talk with you then.

Well AMOS family it is nearly time for me to head to the other side of a healthier me. I am now counting the hours, minutes, seconds. I am trying to keep myself busy. Any last minute things I should know or do for Wednesday. Besides the normal standard things to do that were prescribed by the physician.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. I had my lab band done Aug. 13, and I'm feeling great. Still get a little tired, but it is major surgery, after all, as my surgeon said! I only have three more days to go of the liquid diet, then on to the two weeks of soft foods! Good luck! Sharon

congrats,...... good luck and my prayer are with you.... I have surgery on August..... i know how you feel about anxious exicted scared etc. well good luck and hope every thing goes well.......

crystal; will be thinking about you on monday. i had my rny dec. 16th of last year. it took me two years to get there; but i would do it again in a minute.
i feel like a new person and have lost 80 pounds so far. my husband is scheduled for the same next month. good luck to us all.

good luck on your surgery. i had roux n y on dec. 16th of last year and my husband is scheduled sept 15th for his. so far i have lost 80 pounds and feel like a new woman. where are you having your surgery done? know you will be glad that you made this decision. i would do it again in a minute
