I know exactly how you feel. I had to have two sleep apnea tests, heart stress, complete psycological profile, the whole nine yards, or in my case, the whole 6 months. That's how long it took me from my first consultation to my surgery date. Then everything seemed to go into fast motion. IT WILL HAPPEN! And you'll realize it was worth the wait! God bless you!

Hi Debbie, I had my surgery August 5th and I'm down 78 pounds. You and I are very close in our results. My hair dresser told me when I decided to have my surgery to start eating a little peanut butter each day. (1tbsp). I did and I have had very little hair loss. Something about the peanut oil strengthens the hair roots. And it hasn't effected my weight loss. Also, some people I know take bioten. Available at any retail store such as Walmart. You have to cru**** up and sprinkle it on yur food. It tastes very bitter to me so I haven't continued it. The calcium citrate capsuled sprinkled in your drinks or n your fod may help, too. And it has no noticable bad taste. Good luck!

I had surgery Aug. 6, 2003. I'm down 71 lbs and feeling great!!
I am loosing some hair though. It is coming out pretty good. Any ideas when it will slow down? Any suggestions as to how to slow it down? I'm eating properly so not sure what else to do.
Thanks for the advise!

Topic: RE: 2 months today
Hi CJ,
I am also two months out today and I am down 40lbs. I really feel 100% better then preop. I am not walking eight miles twice a day like you but I love going to Curves and I like walking on the treadmill in the evenings.
I am proud of you for having the courage to go through with the surgery in Mexico knowing they don't provide any after care. One of the main reasons I chose the program I did was because of the post-op care they give patients. I've read too many accounts of people gaining the weight back or getting sick because they didn't have the support! It's a good thing there are so many fantastic resourses on this website to help people like yourself!
I hope things keep going fantastic for you! I guess if we keep working the tool, it will keep working for us!
Hugs! Dawn

I have gone from a 5x to a 2x in 8 weeks.. 8 very short weeks... I am walking 4 miles twice a day and I feel like a million bucks. I had lost 50 pounds at my last weigh in.. (I only weigh on Thursdays) I had surgery in Mexico so I am on my own for after care things and issues that come up. I am learning - it i**** and miss.. I am just thankful we have this site. It is such a great resource of information and support.
