I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD FEEL THIS GOOD AGAIN. I CERTAINLY NEVER THOUGHT I'D LOSE 77 LBS SINCE 8-8-03. I NO LONGER TAKE 5 INSULIN SHOTS PER DAY OR 4 GLUCOVANCE PILLS PER DAY. I ONLY TAKE 1/2 OF DIABETA IN THE A.M. AND 1/2 IN THE P.M. NO MORE SYRINGES TO BE BOUGHT, NO MORE LASIX OR POTASSIUM. I LOVE LIFE AND MYSELF AGAIN. I GET OUT ALL THE TIME NOW. I REALLY ENJOYED XMAS SHOPPING THIS LAST YEAR. WOULD I DO IT AGAIN? IN A HEARTBEAT!

Did you mean CAN'T ge****er in???? If so, I too had this problem, I found that I did well with sugar free Kool-aid, or sugar free Tang, some of the Crystal Lites are ok too. Otherwise, I don't get enough water.

Wow, you can hold a lot down. I probably eat about 2/3 of that. Maybe I am eating too little because I've only lost 61 pounds in 18 weeks. My starting weight was 266.6.

Don't worry, keep eating the meats and veggies and walking, the pounds will keep coming off.............and take the vitamins everyday.......my weight has slowed down in the last month, however, I am still shedding the pounds, I just see it in my pant size. Keep up the meats and veggies though!!!!!!!!

You're doing great Barbara! I'm down 89 lbs from 8/19/03 and need to get back exercising again too. The holiday season was so busy and rushed, I never got to the gym. But now is the time to start again and get busy. You're right, it feels so good to be a loser!

Tina you are doing great! We all lose at a different pace. You may not be eating enough...I pleateaued for two months due to my body going into starvation mode, and didnt lose a ounce. Once I started eating every three hours and walking the pounds began to drop. Doc said it had something to do with metabolism. But here is an example of one of my days: *Everyday I ALWAYS eat three fruits and a yogurt with grapenut cereal (at first I had to force the fruits down so just eat what you can). Thats four meals right there. *At least one protein shake 1/2 cup or so of cereal with skim milk Baked potatoe with cheese and salad(or whatever my family is having for dinner) The only problem I seem to be having with this is that I do not have time to get my fluids in..but its worked for me to increase my metabolism, im down 87 pounds since 8/14(Lap/RNY)...Good Luck!

I've also lost 120 lbs since my surgery. You are doing great. Even with this surgery, everyone looses at a different pace.
