Yes, I too can enjoy the wraps at Subway! I have only tried the Atkins Turkey and bacon wrap, but as you had mentioned about not finishing the wrap, I also do not eat all of the wrap.

Connie, don't fret! I had surgery on 8/26/03 and have lost 91 lbs. I obsessed for the longest time about how I was doing compared to everyone else. I also have good and bad months. Last month was awful, I only lost 6 lbs. But I lost 5 lbs. this past week alone! Keep up the good work.
Topic: Already at my goal weight!!
I had a Dr. appt. today and according to their scale I weighed in at 124lbs....I have lost 132lbs. I never expected to be at my goal so soon. I was figuring maybe at 1 year out. I am wearing size 6-8 pants and small shirts. I sent in my before and after photos last week but so far I have not seen them up. I was just so excited I had to post.

Surgery was 8/19/03 so about 7.5 months out.
Down 86#.
Feel lie a failure soemtimes because so many have past the 100# mark.
Am I doing OK?
Don't want to fail.
Thanks,
Connie
Topic: RE: 7 months/hair question
I WAS HAVING MAJOR ISSUES WITH MY HAIR SO i KEPT IT IN A PONY TAIL. It was shedding terribly, but at this point it is growing back. I am so sick of the ponytail. The ponytail was weave or extensions whatever you wanna call it fake hair, i was sick and tired of the bobby pins. I cut all my hair off and got a rinse. I have gotten rave reviews on the cut. Halle berry short, not Shenay Oconnor short.
Try alternatives to the bleach first and then work your way up to that
Topic: RE: 7 month post op questions
I had my surgery August 26,2004 at time of surgery I weighed 406 pounds about the same weight as a full barrel of oill; I wore size 56 pants and looked and felt TERRIBLE; today I weigh about 131 pounds less. I wear a size 38 pants comfortably and look and feel TERRIFIC. I have no problems with eating
However,
I ensure that I do not "backslide" by never ever eating foods that were the "building blocks" to the 406 pound problem that I was. Like an addict returning from rehab would never ever take "just a small amount of dope" I do not allow my self "just a slice of pizza, half a cheeseburger etc"
I eat now the way I should have all along; avoid fried foods, eat salads shrimp(boiled) seafood (broiled) and lots of veggies; my cholestrol is below 160 down from around 270.
The biggest thing that was hardest to learn and I still stumble over
"You don't have to clean your plate" it really is ok to throw food away
Sometimes I avoid meals and just consume a protein shake.
I feel better now at 53 years old than I did at 40 years old and I really enjoy walking around now minus that "spare tire" I was carrying around my waist
Lastly most days if I decide to take a lunch I use those little Chef boy R Dee "lunch pals" meals in a can; their about 200 calories or so depending; fill you up (remind me of C-rations when I was in the military) and get the job done when eaten with a rice cake
Your making great progress Debbie keep up the great work
Topic: RE: head aches
well thanks george that was very informative. i do have some alergies and no i dont get enough water in so it could be those things. the head ache is getting better it just didnt feel like any headache i had ever had before it was different had me worried

Debbie:
Along with the question of Sinus (possibly hay fever; you have changed since surgery; and it's possible you are developing a alergic reaction that you haven't experienced before to some pollens now available from budding/blooming trees)
If this is suspected might I suggest Claritin; it's available "over the counter" and works wonders for me and my hay fever
Now
I would like to inquire about dehydration (water) are you drinking enough WATER?
Sodas even diet ones contain a large quanity of sodium and caffiene which will accelarate the dehydration process in a couple ways as I'll explain (I'm addicated to diet Pepsi Vinalla flavor) if your drinking a large amount of diet sodas and or coffee and tea then you need to significantly increase your WATER intake to offset effects of sodium and caffiene; also the caffiene is a bad diaerutic( I know my spelling sucks just work around it) which also will deplete your fluid level causing dehydration; this WILL cause headaches all the time; this is the primary reason "why" young guys not savvy to dehydration that go on binges of drinking wake up at 3 AM with a splitting headache and SERIOUS "COTTON MOUTH" and dry eye balls; the dydration dried their brain out causing the headaches.
The average daily intake of water should be 8-10 glasses(8oz) that's 64 ozs (1/2 gallon) and that's if your not taking in coffee, tea, sodas, alchol; if these items are in the intake list, the water MUST be increased; also if your working out at the fittness center or working hard at your job( heavy sweating) then this also requires a major increase in WATER; not ice tea or sodas
If your having trouble with plain water( I burned myself out on it so I know it's possible; and I even installed multible filters and purifyers to create and PURRIFY my own "home grown" crystal clear PURE water with ZERO choline smell or taste) you might try what I do; I buy multible packets(flavors) of the Crystal Lite mix;( really cheaper than sodas and better for you as well) the orange flavors are my favorites and I carry a jug(64 oz) of this flavored mix to work every day; also this provides me water that's free of the LEAD contamination currently in the Washington DC water system.
Anyway just a couple thoughts
Hope you feel better and your headaches go away
George
