I crossed over to the "Loosing" side and all I can say is WOW, what an adventure!! The quality of my life has improved 1,000%. I can stand and/or walk non-stop for hours without pain. My energy level and stamina has increased 10x, as well as my motivation to do things. I weigh every morning and measure monthly. My highest weight was 273 and I'm currently 154 (-119 lbs). The scale hasn't budged for a month and I may be done, but I'm not sad. I've lost 111" which has left me with some redundant skin, and still I have no regrets. Even after a year, my head still thinks I'm a fat girl. I wear a size 6 but my eyes see a size 18 in the mirror. It's weird! So here I sit... one year later...reflecting back and I will say, this is the best anniversary of anything I have ever celebrated. Wishing each and every one of you continued success on your Journey ~ I love you guys (((HUGS)))

My anniversary is approaching too. and I am thrilled I have lost 86 lbs and weigh 160 lbs now beats the heck outta 246 lbs and so much healthy for this surgery I am a success as Dr Cook said the other day. Yes It would be nice for me to lose another 20 lbs but I am 49 years old and I already have a lil loose skin scared to lose anymore really. I went into this wls for my health only. and I feel GREAT ! Best thing for you to do isgo back on protein drinks and veggies and fruit and NO CARBS and you will start losing again. Good Luck. You sound like you are doing wonderful.

Congratulations and happy rebirthday! You're doing fabulous. Everyone loses at a different rate and your body may just be resting a bit. Don't get hung up on numbers. When your body is ready to lose again, it will. You can do whatever you want. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations on your rebirthday! Try not to get hung up on the numbers. If you're in a size 8 or 6, you must look great! Enjoy your new freedom and the ability to shop anywhere! Keep up the great work.

Happy Rebirthday! Congratulations--keep on going, you can do it. My rebirthday is 8/15/04. I am down 115 pounds with still more to come off. The stand stills are normal. All of of a sudden, I'll lose 3-5 pounds after standing still for a month. Keep positive. We've come so far. Take care.

My one year anniversary was Aug 4th too, and I didn't get as far as I wanted to go. I still have 38 lbs to be at my goal and 24 to be considered a normal weight for my height. Still, I've lost 106 lbs. Lately when I think about the whole issue of not losing what I wanted to, I remind myself that 1. I am now part of the large percentage of people in the united states that only have about 30lbs to lose, 2. Like them, I will have to work hard to get to my goal, and 3. I am now considered normal for an American. All I ever wanted to be was normal. I don't require myself to be thin or perfect. So everytime I see the green eyed monster crawling up on me when I read posts from people *****ach their goals in 6 months or so, I just tell myself there is NOTHING wrong with being normal and like all the other normal (average) people in the US I WILL continue to work to my goal. You all are doing great by the way. Keep it up.

I am also one year out on Aug. 27. I have only lost 85 lbs. - don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled. I'm now wearing a 14-16 and I too could be happy here the rest of my life although I would rather wear a 10-12. I figure I have 6 more mo. of weightloss. I'm losing about 1 lb. a week now - not fast but consistant. It's good to know that there are others out there like me - hang in there ladies, we'll make it.

hiya all WOW, cant believe its been 1 year already. Seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital having surgery. On the 18th it will be 1 year for me, I go to the doctor Aug 27 for my 1 year appt. I'm kinda nervous cause I got to thinking today, what if he still thinks I'm way too fat LOL I am down 127 pounds with 26 more to go but boy is it taking forever...slow slow slow. I've been reading alot of posted messages out there and noticed I'm not the only one who ha**** a stand still. That is more comforting to know I am not alone If I had to do it all over again I would Take care and god bless all Gerri
