Hi Edessa, My name is Nancy Garrett. I live in Indiana and I am scheduled for my surgery on August 14th at three pm. I agree it will really bite to have to wait all day as I am allready a nervous wreck! I just found this site and I am looking for people to correspond with who are going throught the same thing as me. I hope all goes well with your surgery. I wish mine was tommorow so I could get it over with. The waiting is hard.

Hi Nancy, My name is Nancy too. my surgery is scheduled for August 14th. I live in Indiana and I too am nervous. Hell I am scared to death. I dont know why, but it isnt the surgery so much as right before and right after. I was scheduled to get it done three years ago and I chickened out at the last minute. Had I not I'd be sitting here all skinny and looking good! Ha Ha! I really need someone to talk to about it. Everyone else just doesn't understand. I mean this is a major step we are a bout to take and it is scary!I dont know how you feel right now but I dont feel good most of the time. Im very overweight 5'9' 422 lbs and it is exhausting just to do the little things aorund the house. I let myself becoma inactive and that made it worse. Then I get brave and say I'm gonna change things. Im gonna have the surgery and get thin. Then I think when I have this done I wont be able to eat much and I'll have to exercise. Why not just do it without the surgery! Yeah right! That hasnt worked yet so here I am about to let them rearrange my insides all to lose weight. No not really all to gain life! I want an active life back. I need someone behind me though pushing me along saying come on Nancy you can do this and you will do this! Before we know it we will be post op and forcing ourselves to eat! (that will be strange) My husband wieghs 150 lbs and has since high school and he cant relate at all. He goes you're not fat. I say what are you blind? well if I get to where I can work again maybe I can achieve the record for weight lost in a single day! 155lbs. Five of it from me and 150 lbs of it from him!!!!! well as you can probably tell I am starved for people to talk to. Hope I havent said too much but hang in there. Keep as busy as you can. Talk to as many people about it as you can. Look forward to better days and better years, as a new improved Nancy. Id love to hear from you. Take care.
