Debby, congrats on getting your date for the 12th. The time will fly. Everyone who has an August date for surgery, good luck. There seems to be a lot of us. I just got off the phone with the surgeons office and I have a tenative date for the 6th of August, if the surgeon is in agreement. I will find out on the 18th of July. God Bless all here who wait for health. Lord grant us peace and patience and let us know that we are in your hands and that there is no safer place to be right now.

August 27th, wow! You have spoken my heart with your words. I am tired of sitting on these painful bleachers and watching as the parade goes by too! I hope to have surgery in August but will not know until the 18th of August just when that would be. I pray that all goes well with your surgery and recovery and that you will be marching soon in that wonderful parade.

I don't live in Texas either. Maybe prayer would help. I will keep you in my good thoughts and prayers that all will work out in your favor. I know what it is like to wait for health. Why don't you just have the RNY there in Texas and save the travel fees.

Leon, make sure you have the supplies you need to eat after your surgery. sugar free anything like popsicle, pudding, jello, broth are good. Spend time with your family before surgery.
Be at peace with your decision to regain your heath. After surgery, get up and move, it will be difficult because of the pain but do it anyway. Take the pain medication, don't try to tough it out. You will move better if you are comfortable. Walk as much as you are able to. Rest at home but continue to take short walks. Helps to speed up the healing process and helps to prevent blood clots in the legs. I will pray that you have an uncomplicated surgery and recovery and that your health will be restored to you swiftly.

Jaimee, I can feel your excitement coming through the computer! LOL! Stay focused, spend time with your family, lay in your supplies for after surgery and try to enjoy these last few weeks. I am jealous that you live in Florida. I love it there. I visit as much as I can but mostly in the Miami or Jacksonville area. Where exactly is Jupiter (not in the galaxy!LOL)? I live in Ohio and its kind of cool, cloudy and breezy today. I hope all goes well for you on the 13th of August. I pray that your surgery goes smoothly, your recovery is uncomplicated and that your future is healthy and happy. Are you open or lap. Rny?

hi lorie. i know exactly waht u mean. my surgery date is 8/19/03. im happy one min,scared the next, and ready to just get it over with the rest of the time. so im here with ya hun.
