My date is also August 12th. I started crying at work last week just thinking about the changes in my life (good and bad) that will be taking place. I am placing my faith in God and I know things will work out. Best of luck to you.

I ONLY HAVE 23 DAYS TO GO AND I AM GETTING ANXIOUS. I WISH A I HAD SOMEONE TO RELATE TO ON LINE, MY FAMILY NEVER TALKS OR NEVER EVEN DISCUSSES SURGERY WITH ME. THE ONLY PLACE I GET COMFORT IS AT THIS SITE AND ESPECIALLY THE BEFORE AND AFTER PICS. I READ ALOT I PROFILES AND KNOW IM NOT ALONE AND THE THINGS I AM FEELING ARE THE SAME AS OTHERS. A FRIEND OF MINE IS GOING THROUG ALL THE STEPS TO HAVE SURGERY AND I HAVE BEEN HELPING HIM, TO KEEP ME OCCUPIED. WELL WANT TO SAY THANK GOD FOR AMOS, WHERE WOULD WE ALL BE NOW WITHOUT THIS SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!

Nancy I have two friends that have gone through the surgery already both have done a remarkable job. My date is August 12th every time I get a little nervous I just think about this time next year. How great I will feel and how much better I will look. It will be so great to not have the handicap of being the fat one... Spend the next 33 days saying good bye to all those foods that got you fat! Smile!.......

HI all,
Well my surgery is 33 days away and it has become so huge!!!! I cant think about it without getting sick to my stomach! Everyone else seems so upbeat and positive and here I am feeling like I'll never be able to do this. Maybe tommorow will be a better day. I have met several people on this site but haven't heard from anyone today. Anyone out there with some encouraging words? I sure could use them. I'd love to hear from some post-op people too.
