I feel like a load of stress is off my back. I can now sleep at night peacefully. The big day is 8/18. I hope its quick and succesfull.

Hi.. My surgery date is August 14th at Lenox Hill with Dr. Leitman. Anyone else being operated on or around that date at Lenox Hill? I was wondering who my comrades might be. Would love to hear from you and support each other.

I'm scheduled for August 12th also and I have turned into a raving idiot. I am so nervous and scard. I'm not sleeping well either. The one good thing about it is that I have basically lost my appetite. Why could'nt I have lost it about 25 years ago before I become MO.

I'm in the same boat. I am really feeling kinda down. My surgery is Aug 12th and I thought I would be happy right now but I am depressed. I am trying to cut down on the food and have cut out my cokes. Since my preop testing, I have found out that I have a slight heart problem and I am really worried about it. I saw a church billboard this weekend and I keep repeating to myself so maybe it will help you too. "The Lord is God and I will trust in Him." Maybe it will help a little bit. Take care...Jane.

hi brenda, my name is andrea and i saw your surgery date. my surgery date is 3 days later on august 21. time is flying by too. how are you doing? just think...before long we will be on the other side and be thin and healthy. i cannot wait can you? i do get nervous about the surgery as i have two boys who are dependig on me to be around to finish raising them but if i dont have the surgery i would probably die early in life with diabetes and high blood pressure and stroke. i feel i am doing the best thing for me...do you have children? how old are they? do you mind me asking how old you are? i am 37. if you like maybe we can communicate by email now and then about how things are going for us since we have surgery dates within three days of each other. i will pray for you about you upcoming surgery. andrea.

I believe this is all normal. I am have the exact same problem. It just wont get here fast enough. Yesterday the surgeon's office said I couldn't have my surgery until the 8th or the 22nd, then today they are back with my original date of the 5th of August. I have alot of emotions running and I am very frustrated. My family is tired of the emotions but do realize how important this is for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will see you on the losing side the same day!!!!! Woohoo

The Closer it gets the more antsie I get. I can't sleep, and't cancetrate, crave foods that I haven't eaten in a long time. Feeling depressed, is this all normal. I'll be glad when its all over and I can quit being the grouch in the family. Donna

My date is August 6 and I'm beginning to make my Will and execute powers of attorney for my children in case something happens...I am worried, but when I think about NOT doing this, the feeling of hopelessness is unbearable. So I go forward! I wish us all a safe journey through. Teena
