I am so excited! I have a date for my Lap RNY. I will be having my surgery at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. Home of the Baseball Hall of Fame! It is a beautiful little town and the best hospital in the area, as far as I am concerned. I am looking forward to the beginning of my "new" life. I can't wait to be able to chase my kids around and go on long walks with my husband. I want to get a new bike for my birthday in the spring. I haven't one that I can ride in so many years, I don't know if I will remember how to ride one! I wish all of the other Aug. 2003 pre-ops the best of luck and speedy recovery!

Hello everyone I'm Barbara and I'll be have my surgery on august 21,
with Dr. Leitman at Lenox Hill hospital in New York .
I have started shopping for a few personal things to take to the hospital and I now have to start will the vitamins,calcium. and other goodies I need. Anyone else with the same same or around the 21st. please feel free to e-mail and will can compare notes :- )

. Any volunteers? My surgery is set for August 19th in Dallas and having my pre-ops on the 18th.
My stress is getting me down that I'm not as excited as I was before. I have 21 days before surgery and could really use an Angel to get me through.

Hi Becca: My surgery date is also the 19th. My pre-ops will be on August 18th in Dallas, TX. I was all jittery at first but now I'm have so much stress in my life right now I feel very burnt out.
I just wanted to give you some encouragement because I know we're doing the right thing and soon, very soon, we will be on the losing side of surgery!!!!
I'd like to see who writes you back so I can also find out what some post-ops went thru after surgery.

I have 8/18 too!!!!! I am going to Westchester Medical Center in NY with Dr. Cerabona.
I wish you good luck and a very quick recovery. Just think by Christmas we can be slim! It seems almost unreal!

Hi Sandra! i know what you mean about being nervous... (my surgery date is the 12 too)i a haven't been sleeping i am too nervous, i am excited i have already packed and unpacked many times...lol....do you or anyone else have a suggestion on what to take to the hospital? i once had a huge suitcase full so i unpacked and then re-packed again..i think i am still taking too much...good luck to you and all of everyone else having surgery!!!!!
