Topic: no support here anymore
you know when i first started coming here a year ago the support was wonderful the chat rooms and message boards helped me alot. i still get alot of helpful info here from reading other posts and replies but it seems when i post something i get few or zero replies . dont know what i did to people out here or if im just not in the CLICK. who knows was just wondering. i know the boards move very fast and people cant reply to all of the posts its impossible but it just seems to be a great decrease in the help that was given to me here before and yes i do put in a subject to flag it so people can read. so flame me if you must but i felt the need to post my feelings.

I am very interested in having a LBL b/c my stomach is so saggy and my legs are completely horrible and look swollen all the time from the extra skin. How much is this procedure costing you and did your ins. cover any?

Agreed. Since my surgery I rarely drink any alcohol. One sip of wine during my birthday last year knocked me off my feet. I've become of designated driver for my friends when we go out now.

Hi, I was recently reading posts and I came across yours. I can relate....All I hear about are all the "success" stories and I want to know how I get get back on the path to success again. I know I can contribute some to my large ventral hernia (I seriously look 5 months preggers with this thing). I can't have the repair surgery until I loose the weight and then I stress about that too. I know I can go UP 8 pounds in 1 Week due to stress. I'm not excited about that fact either. I didn't intend to complain but to ask how you are doing these days? Thank you.

Topic: Lower body lift
I'm scheduled for a LBL in Feb, and wondering who has had this procedure done. Can you fill me in on how your recovery went, how long before you were fully ambulatory and driving? How much swelling, and how many sizes did you go up from your preop clothes? How long did swelling last? I'm booked for vacation 8 wks after my LBL, and wondering how swollen I will still be. Any other suggestions for postop recovery? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, JG 284/154/149?

Hiya Ms Sharon I've drank 3 times since surgery at some recent Holiday parties and 1 shot of Goldschlagger nearly does me in! Alcohol hits harder and faster now as a postie and the buzz doesn't seem to last as long... I've seen several of our local WLS gals pass out while drinking so I just try to be extremely conservative when I drink. (((HUGS))) Connie Sue is inviting people to lunch today in the Sac area. Here's the details. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/state-forums/CA/postdetail/176738.html?vc=0

Hi Di More like 16 mos out now Everyone's doing great and looking good I have lost 159lbs Day of WLS I weighed 319lbs. ..........today I weigh160 I don't really have a set in stone goal..I'm looking for 140 That's only 20 more lbs.... and it's coming off really slow but still losing inches too Having LBL/Mastopexy on March 28th... Lots of excess skin to be removed.. that could be 5-10lbs The things that makes me smile are I can walk now and I feel as though I've regained my youth. Good thing because I have twin boys- they're 8 and always wanting to go go go! Tracy 8.14.03 319/160/healthy
