after surgery research

i am doing some research and i was wondering if anyone knew the answer to my question. after listening to alot of postops at my support group i noticed that alot of us are complaining about not sleeping well after surgery not because of pain or anything likke that but just can not get to sleep or sleep throught the night does anyone know why this may be?????? the people range from very new post op to several years post op

Don't know about others, but I sleep A LOT better for the most part. I sleep like a little baby.

I don't know why this happens but I am 7 yrs post-op from 1st open RNY and have never been able to sleep thru the night either. I am a major insomniac now!

I notice that if I take my vitamins later than 6:00PM I have a hard time getting to sleep! I do have more energy now, so I don't really need as much sleep, but I don't usually have a hard time getting to sleep!

Like the other poster, I've never had trouble. I've heard that some have trouble because they develope anxieties.
