I had a terrible problem with dizziness for the first 2 months, but not anymore. I too crave salt at times. Heck I crave things still except sugar...I dumped a couple of times and hated it so much I have no desire to eat it now. I am down 99#. Kind of a slow looser but I feel so much better. Dana, have you blood pressure checked. It may be low and that would be why you are craving salty foods. Just a thought.

I get dizzy when bending down too. You may want to check your B1 levels, as well as blood pressure, as another poster said. I have yet to have my potassium checked lately, but I think mine is low. The nurse in my doc's office said to eat salty things to retain potassium, so maybe your body is telling you what you need. I think this was a temporary solution to the problem though. Let us know if you find out anything. I'd not like to pass out just by doing housework... Stephanie

I get really bad dizzy spells and almost faint... I went to see my primary care physician and was told I had Vertigo... that is fluid in your ear canal. I take motion sickness pills whenever it bothers me. He told me he may "never" go away, so I just keep the motion pills with me all the time. I have been riding roller coasters with my daughter (can't believe I fit) and it doesn't really seem to get worse or better if I ride them or not, so I just stick with what he says. Good Luck!!

hi guys, I get really dizzy too, but I thought it was because I am anemic and was slacking on my iron pills. I didnt know you could get dizzy from these other things. Sometimes I see spots too. It's very fustrating to have to figure out what you're missing nutrient wise. I also feel like theres not enough time in the day to get all the vitamin, calcium, iron, b-12 in.

yes I get dizzy sometimes too. My Dr. told me my iron was very low and that I was an Anemic. Here is some info. Iron-Deficiency Anemia Symptoms Mild iron-deficiency anemia may not cause noticeable symptoms. If anemia is severe, symptoms may include: Weakness or fatigue. Shortness of breath during exercise. Headache. Difficulty concentrating. Irritability. Dizziness. Ringing in the ears. Craving substances that are not food (pica). Physical signs of iron-deficiency anemia include: Pale skin. Rapid heartbeat. Brittle fingernails and toenails. Cracked lips. Smooth, sore tongue.

Why do you think salt is a bad thing? You need some . . . and I seriously doubt that you get *enough*. And the salt craving *could* be anemia, which migh cause dizziness. But the two symptoms could also mean dehydration (which can cause low blood pressure = dizzy). Drink more clean, clear water. And have an iron panel drawn. Meanwhile, don't fall.
