Thanks for all the postings on this subject. Reading them made me feel normal. I am 7 mo. post as of the 27th and down 113#'s. I went from a size 26/28 to a 14. As for eating, I too have days that I feel I can eat more than other days. (up to a cup),When that happens I think, oh my God, I am stretching my stomach, and I feel really guilty, but reading that alot of you have the same experience makes me feel better. It is true for me too, I can tolerate mexican food very well, anything hot and spicy. It seems to satisfy me more. Congratulations everyone, and isn't life great now? I still have a ways to go, but that's O.K. I wouldn't go back for anything.

Thank you all for the great posts. I feel some days like I am eating way to much or not enough and after reading this I am starting to feel more normal. I have lost 87 - 88 pounds and I had surgery on 08-19-03. I must say this is the best thing I have ever done for my life. I eat anywhere between 2 oz to 1 cup at a meal. Just depends on what it is. For breakfast I normally have a light yogart and that is 6oz and doesn't bother me. I need to stay away from the snacking and I am sure the weight will just fall off again!

Hi, Had surgery 8/8/03 and I am down 76 pounds to 196, wearing a soon to be loose 14W. I agree the energy is scary, I still have some lazy ways but once I get out I surprise myself by how fast I walk and do things! I just keep thinking about how hard it was to move and do errands when I was 271. I have hit a plateau though, which I think is due to snacking. I am going to just stop buying certain things from the market, I figure if I dont bring it home I cant eat it. My doc said no snacking and exercise. I cant wait till summer, clothes will be so much fun and I'm sure I will go out walking and get some exercise in. Congrats to everyone and keep up the good work!

Hi guys, Well I started out at 244 down to 239 at the time of my wls. I am now 148lbs. Ive only lost 1lb in the last 3 weeks On fitday.com I average 920 cals per day. I have hit 1200-1300...on a few bad days but then again sometimes I am luckey 2 hit 700. I can eat a small wendys chilli with 2 crackers. (8oz.) 4 chicken nuggets fills me up just right. On a good day I can almost finish a LC TV dinner (low carb) Wishing everyone the BEST DI~

I had my surgery August 26,2004 at time of surgery I weighed 406 pounds about the same weight as a full barrel of oill; I wore size 56 pants and looked and felt TERRIBLE; today I weigh about 131 pounds less. I wear a size 38 pants comfortably and look and feel TERRIFIC. I have no problems with eating However, I ensure that I do not "backslide" by never ever eating foods that were the "building blocks" to the 406 pound problem that I was. Like an addict returning from rehab would never ever take "just a small amount of dope" I do not allow my self "just a slice of pizza, half a cheeseburger etc" I eat now the way I should have all along; avoid fried foods, eat salads shrimp(boiled) seafood (broiled) and lots of veggies; my cholestrol is below 160 down from around 270. The biggest thing that was hardest to learn and I still stumble over "You don't have to clean your plate" it really is ok to throw food away Sometimes I avoid meals and just consume a protein shake. I feel better now at 53 years old than I did at 40 years old and I really enjoy walking around now minus that "spare tire" I was carrying around my waist Lastly most days if I decide to take a lunch I use those little Chef boy R Dee "lunch pals" meals in a can; their about 200 calories or so depending; fill you up (remind me of C-rations when I was in the military) and get the job done when eaten with a rice cake Your making great progress Debbie keep up the great work
