WL slow down
Hi! I had lap-RNY on 8/13. I wieghed 311 and now weigh 249/250. I had lost 55 lbs by month 3, but have only lost 5-6 lbs since. I eat three meals a day, sometimes a high protein snack. I try to get at least 4-6 glasses of water a day and have recently begun at the gym. Is this normal? I'm freakin' out, here! I think all of us at one time or another fear the loss is going to stop, and I'm there! Any help you can give would be appreciated. [email protected].

I had my surgery on 8/18 and I weighed 308 and now weigh 235 so I am going pretty slow myself. We have alot of weight to lose and some ppl lose faster than others. Just keep going to the gym, get more B-12 shots and keep eating like you are and the Plateau will pass. Take care and good luck, Geraldine
Even with WLS we each loose weight at a different rate. I had my surgery on 08/21 and I am down 125 lbs. I weighed 396 lbs to start.
I had been loosing about 10 lbs a week but now I'm not loosing every week now, but it seems the weight is coming off in spurts.
My doctor has told me that as my weight goes down, my body must adjust.
I'm still loosing weight.
It sounds like you are doing what you should be doing.
Get your water everyday, and exercise atleast 20 minutes every day.
I walk at least 2 miles a day.
