I had my Lap RNY 2 months ago today. I used to have a ton of energy and now I have none. I don't know why. I am drinking and eating like I am supposed to, I also take my vitamins every day like a ritual. I just can't seem to get into the groove of life. I have also only lost 38.8 pounds since surgery. I really thought that I would have lost more than that by now. I am not depressed, I am just exhausted. Anyone else feel like me? Jenn

hi, I am 2 months out as well. I have lost 32 lbs, I think we are doing about average with our weight loss, cant complain too much. My energy is a little better but I thought I'd be running marathons too at this point. But just be a little patient, it takes time to get back to things the way you thought you would. SOme days are better than others, but all in all I am thankful and feeling healthier. This time next year no one will be able to keep up with you!. Just make sure you go to the doctor for monthly checkups and bloodwork.

I will be 2 mos. out on the 19th. Up until 2 weeks ago my energy level was nearly non existant. I hadn't been excercising very often because of this. I decided I was just going to excercise no matter what my energy level. About 1 week after walking daily I got so much energy it is unbeleivable. I feel so good now and have a ton more energy then I used to. I am abble to walk 3 iles every day. Remember everyone is different. I have read it can take 3-6 mos. before you get your energy back. I was also losing slowly until I cut carbs out of my diet. Now i just eat meat, veggies, cheese, and peanuts. I dropped 6 lbs this weekend alone since cuting out the carbs last Thursday. Good Luck to you. Jennifer

Jenn - I had a visit with my Dr yesterday. 7 weeks post op for me - down 46 pounds. I told him I am not whining I just thought I would loose faster.. the first two weeks I lost 28 pounds and now I am walking like a mad man 4-6 miles a day and I loose 3 to 5 pounds a week. He said RELAX... it is better to loose at a more moderate pace.. the chances of it staying off are so much better and he said to be honest I was worried at first when you were loosing so quickly... well it is more important that it stay off than that I break records for loosing so fast I guess Though I prefer to have it ALL... I got over being tired or overly tired about 4 weeks out.. but that is also when I picked up my walking form a few times around the park to actual miles.. started at 2 and worked my way up to 6. If you are not walking or getting some exercise you might try a bit to see if your energy level increases.. mine sure did... Also the more you weigh the quicker you loose so you cannot compare your loss to others. It is nearly 40 pounds forever gone and that is GREAT!! Keep up the good work!
