11 DAYS TO GO

Cant wait for the 25th .Am nervous a bit.See my Drs today for the last check.All lab work done.The waitting is driving crazy.Thoughts are I am too old for this surgery. Am 51yrs old will i make it through the surgery with my heart .I pray to God each day to guide me and other going through this.Is this normal to feel like this? Been through alot of surgerys before. Dear Barbara, I will say some prayers for you if you will say some for me. My RNY surgery is scheduled for August 19. I am on liquid diet this week. The mornings and mid day are not bad, but by afternoon and evening I am really hungry and crabby. I am 48 years old, need to lose about 180 pounds to weigh what I weighed in high school. I will settle for 150 pounds to weigh what I weighed when I got pregnant with the third child! I guess it is normal to be nervous---I sure am. I'm going to be 50 next week and I think of that now and then, too. But when I think of another twenty years of living like this (and worse) I change my way of thinking pretty quickly. We have grandkids to live for!! I'm going crazy at work - not busy enough right now - but I'm keeping myself busy at home and those hours are flying by. If I could afford to just take the next week off, I would - surgery is the 26th for me. Think we'll make it without screaming or something? I find myself being really quiet and not talking at all or just the opposite - running off at the mouth! I'm sure my coworkers are getting sick of me - I am! 11 MORE DAYS!!

Hi Barb...I am 52 years old and having my surgery on August 20th. I am so happy I have been waiting along time for this weight loss tool. i am afraid of something going wrong as well, since I have an 11 year old daughter I am raising alone, but I know when all is done I will be healtier and able to be around for my daughter many years to come, I will be thinking of you, and keep us updated on your progress. Only 5 more days for me!
