I AM SSSOOO SCARED!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE NOT SCHEDULED SUREGERY YET BUT, I HAVE MY FIRST CONSULTATION THURSDAY , AUGUST 14TH. MY FEARS ARE NOT THE AFTERMATH OF THE SURGERY, LIKE THE LIFE CHAGIUNG EFFORTS I WILL NEED TO DO. BUT, I HAVE A PHOEBIA OF SUREGERY AND THAT IS WHAT SCARES ME TO DEATH. CAN ANYONE TALK WITH ME THAT HAS EXPIRENCED THIS FROM DR FISCHER AND HELP ME THROUGH THE FEARS THAT I HAVE.

I know how you feel, I feel the same way, but I am also scared not to get the surgery. I saw a guy on a talk show and he said he was scared too, but he felt that if he died that at least he died trying to get healthy. He looked great and was so much healthier. It helps me to read about what other people have gone through. This site is Great. I was scheduled for Oct 15 but they changed the date to August 18th. I will let you know how it is when I get home. Tabby, being scared is totally natural. I had surgery last Tuesday (August 5), and the night before, I was trying to think of what reason I could give to NOT go through with the surgery. So far, I have had no complications, and pray to God that I continue not having any. This is a very serious surgery, and you should do as much research as you possibly can before you make that final decision.
