Tuesday the 5th is the big day...
I'm nervous and excited. I know the next few days will fly by and drag simultaneously. I will spend a lot of time on this site in the next few days reading others' stories. My thoughts are with everyone out there who's had the surgery, having it, and will have it.
What an exciting thing! I can hardly believe that I am getting another chance at life. I'd thought I was doomed to years of infirmity hobbling around on my sore feet and knees, avoiding certain restaurants because the booths were too small, dreading flying because the seats are so uncomfortable (well, I'll probably still dread flying), and being unable to do the things I love like gardening, riding bikes, sailing, and just taking long walks. I thought I would soon be diabetic, have heart disease, terrible arthritis, and gerd for the rest of my miserable life. Now I have hope and am looking forward to spending my 50th birthday (in three years) climbing a mountain or shooting white water rapids or.... making love all day long!
Bless you all!
