Topic: RE: Gaining Weight
Hi Lora, Have you identified your eating habits to see if you're slipping into pre-surgery habits. i.e. grazing between meals, huge meals instead of smaller more frequent, eating late at night, no excercise?? Even little things like maybe sucking on hard candy or drinking sips of pop or juices many many times during the day or night may trigger your weight gain. Also, you shouldn't be testing the dumpoing theory you need to stya away from foods or drinks that cause the dumping in the first place. maybe you need to up your excercise program with more time walking , stretching, etc. i find that even maching in place during the television commercials aids in maintaining wt. A first place to start would be to start the marching excercise during all commercials and writing down all food and drink intake ( along with excercise), the amounts, and times to see if there is a pattern that is detrimental. The other side is your mental health...depression may cause weight gain. And either issue should be addressed with your health care professional and your support group.

Topic: RE: ANYONE GAINING WEIGHT???
Thank God I am not alone in this. I have gained about 10 pounds in the last 2 months. I was eating anything and doing fine, but now it's sticking. I feel so glad to see other people's posts b/c I have really been raking myself over the coals. I seem to be more hungry now and I can hold a little more food, so I feel like I should just keep eating. I am so ashamed to have gained, but I know I lost all this weight with God's blessing, and I can definitely get these 10 lbs off with His help. I am so glad we are all in this together -Katie 251-141-150

Hey Elle, I'm a little over 3 years out and just started gaining weight. I had to have a hysterectomy in February 2005 and had to stop working out for 4 months and began taking Premerin. I've lost 217 lbs, but have gained 5 back in the past 2 months - yikes! I am going to try and go back to eating only proteins and vegetables and see how that goes. I'll keep you posted. If you have any success please let me know. I'm also getting my behind back into the gym, I'm sure that attributed to this also. With Christmas here and all these goodies around it's going to be hard, but I have to get back on the right track. Good luck!!! Sheryl

Hey Melissa, I haven't started used another weight loss plan, but weigh****chers is a good motivator so I'm sure you'll do well. Just remember to make protein the main part of your meals. I'm having a hard time loosing my last 20 lbs, so I understand. I have to get my behind back in the gym, I know that's my problem. Let me know if it works please, maybe I'll end up going also...
