Hi , i was also 1 year on the 14th...i am not at goal but my doc has told me i have done excellent with my weight loss, i have been carb loading for a while so now to lose the last 40 or so lbs i have to be strict with my protien and fluid intake... happy anniversary!! to all those sisters and brothers who had their rebirthdays at or around the same time as me....start size 30/32 current 11/12 start weight 261.5 current 158 i am also learning so much about myself and what a happier person i am now, i was miserable and unhealthy,self conscious,and all kind of negativity was associated with my low self esteem ..i feel 90% better about myself and my life and those around me thank god for this surgery now i am going to work my butt off to get to goal!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I too am ayear out and loving life! I do everything,go everywhere and before I was a recluse! Life is soooo different and now it is WORTH LIVING!!!!! I know how you feel. Best regards,Kalyn Paul

I too had my surgery on August 21st, but started out as a heavyweight. I've lost 176 lbs, and still have 124 lbs to go, but at least I'm out of 6 x shirts and into 1 x shirts!! Glad to see two people who shared on my day are doing well!!

Hi everyone! I can't believe that its been one year!! I have been on such a wonderful journey. I am down to a size 6-8 from a 22-24 and people who meet me today say that there is NO WAY I used to weigh that much! And I think, Right...........there are so many things that I had to learn about myself and I am still learning. I have gained such a sweet tooth since my surgery and I am fighting with that now. But I will win the battle, that I am sure of! I thank God, my surgeon and my family every day for returning my old body back to me........and its great to be back to my old self again! Facing 50 years old now, doesn't seem so bad at a size 6-8!!

I will be a year post-op on August 20. I can't believe it has been almost a year! I am 94 pounds lighter. I wish I could have made it to the Century Club! I see my surgeon next month. His goal for me was to be 110 pounds lighter. At least I hope to be closer to that number before I see him!
