I'm not sure if insurance covers it...but Dr. Felix in Fresno CA does revisions. I think problem with revisions is that you don't get the same results like you did with the origianl surgery. Have you tried going back to basics.....protein only, water? I know that sounds horrible, but having another surgery is serious business. Have you been checked to see if everything is still in tack and that you haven't stretched? I hope you find some answers and get back where you want to be.

Tracy, Thank you for the get well wishes. I am dealing with a lot but I know this too shall pass someday. I am only 5'2" and 147 right now so at my height i should be around 115-120 but i consider at least 15 pounds of extra skin so that woul make my wieght 135 at best so i am about 17 pounds more than I should be. I am where i want to be though. I did lose a few pounds this last week or so by being sick but I go up and down about 5-10 pounds at certain times. So I am happy here now if i could just get the rest of me where i want me. LOL Happy anniversary to you too. You sound like you are doing great too. Bobbi Z

Hi Bobbi!! Congrats on your surgiversary!! Mine was in August too. Boy the 5 years went by fast!! I gained about 13 lbs from my lowest wieight. I can't seem to break the 165 so that must be where my body wants to stay. I keep working the tool though and trying to stay fit by adding more cardio work outs and weight training. I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well... I hope you get better soon. Tracy A.

Hi Christy, I agree more of us need to post... we face different challenges being 5 years out. The dreaded regain... which can sneak up on ya if you aren'****ching. The honeymoon is over and it is truly time to work the tool. I spend most of my time on the WLS Grads messsage board. The folks there are wonderful and most are a couple of years post op and a handful are 5 years out. I hope to see you over on the WLS Grad message board, cause it sure doesn't look like much is happening on this one. Tracy A.

I think more of us need to post. Listen...we have made it 5 years now. Do you suppose that many that are at 5 years have gained or slipped that they no longer even try or do you think that they have totally moved on and don't access support groups????? Christy

Hey I forgot mine too. LOL I just remembered when I saw the email. Congratulations on making it this far. Do you use proteion drionks at all? I find they help me the most with the carb cravings when i use 3 a day. I have been using only 1 or 2 a day for a while and need to focus on them once again. They helped me reset my pouch in January. I lost 15 pounds using them and have only gained 10 back. Yikes. i need to focus for sure. You are getting there and I know it is hard this far out. I did follow the program and i reached my goal. I am happy with my weight loss. I hope you have a great year this year. Hugs Bobbi

I am 5 years out! wow it has gone fast. I had my computer in the shop for a week and just got it back and founds out i had my 5 year anniversary when I read my email. It is hard to believe it has been 5 years, I have maintained my weight within 10 pounds too. I have to keep tuning my tool though. I have to get the 10 pounds off or at least not let anymore back on. I feel so weak though. I had my yearly blood work lst month and it was good. I just feel as though i have the flu. I am also in a bad flare-up of my fibromyalgia and I have meraglia paresthetica of my thigh to boot. I am in pain. I may not post here very often but i read sometimes. Take care everyone and Happy aniversary to all my 2001 August pals. Hugs Bobbi

Happy Five Year Anniversary..to all of all "old troopers"! Ha! Hey..this is Lisa...from CT. I had my RnY on 8/23/01 in NYC.....I am a regainer. Never made it to goal..not even close. BUT..I still dont really regret having the surgery. I'll take 220 over 295 anyday! But..I DO have to get serious about it again. I am tired of people looking at me and saying things like" huh?! YOU had gastric bypass surgery?" Pleas,e lets keep in touch. I havent heard from anyone on here for over three years! Lisa
