July 3, 2013 is almost here- I'm ready to be sleeved
On July 3 2013 I will be given a tool to help me live my life and have my inside, match my outside :)
Time seems to be moving slower now that i have a date. Initially it looked like the insurance was going to come through but on closer inspection they decided I would have to wait at least 6 months. I decided that at my age and with my problems I would choose not to wait and am going self pay in Lake Norman, NC.

I totally get it. I was aiming for july 8 or 9 after my daughter's wedding on the sixth but the surgeon is on vacation so it is the 15th. It seems silly complaining about only 7 days. but it took me a week to let it go. i am so ready to get this show onthe road

I just got a call from the surgical scheduler and she had a date for July 9 ! Yea!
I got my date for surgery the other day, of course was hoping for an earlier date but will take whatever they give me....and the scheduler will call me if an opening comes up! Hopefully going to my Nut class soon because I have lots of questions....
I'm getting sleeved on the 10th. I really wanted the 5th because I have an incredibly busy summer and just a short time off before school starts again in the fall but my doctor is on vacation until then. I guess it's only 5 days, but it's FIVE days!! LOL. Good luck to us all.
I am scheduled to have RNY surgery on July 23rd. I have been overweight pretty much my entire 43 years. I am 244 right now, but when I graduated high school I weighed in at about 325. With lots of exercise and pretty much starvation, I lost down to 220 in about 8 months. Since that I have had 3 back surgeries, contracted type 2 diabetes and fought just about every illness or complication associated with it. Now it is medically necessary for me to have this surgery if I want to live to see my kids grow into adults. I would love to keep in contact with anyone who is having the surgery close to my date of rebirth.
I know what you mean....It took me a year to get mine approved as well. I am trying to get used to no sodas and decaf coffee. I will see my surgeon sometime in June. I am so ready to get this going.
