Morning....I got a call from my new best friend, the surgical scheduler this past Monday....she says "how would you like to have surgery next week" I screamed into the phone WTF!.... Of course I said YES!

Most excellent! congrats. IF it wasn't for my daughter getting married on July 6th i would be getting this about now. I could not be sure I would have recovered enough to fly out to the middle of nowhere in northern minnesota if I had gone ahead. I will try not to hold it against her that I have to wait another month.

Tuesday, I scheduled my surgery date for July 1st. I can't believe how real it suddenly became. Now I am busily making preparations at work and at home. After all this waiting I just know the day will be here before I know it.
I've not had trouble giving up soda. But wow, I am having a hard time trying to choke down these protein shakes for my liver diet. I'm trying very hard not to let the after taste/feeling get to me. All in all I don't think strawberries and cream was a good choice.
Well wishes for everyone else with surgery dates in July!
My original date was July 16, then they were able to move it to July 9th and NOW I got another call to move it to junen25! Never in a million years would I haven thought this could have happened! It must be meant to be

The big day is nearly 3 weeks away...and it feels really surreal! I'm having a tough time believing this is actually going to happen. I have a doctor's appointment with my PCP on Monday, where she'll do my EKG and review my bloodwork with me. Tuesday I have an upper GI scheduled to rule out a hiatal hernia, and then...it'll be showtime!

Corinna that's my surgery date too! I see we have similar tracks for our timing and our weight. I'm new, and will fill in my dates and numbers. Here's to us!
