Wow! You ladies are so inspirational:) Thanks for the good read and good luck with your journey. I will be headed under the knife August 15th so I will definitly keep an eye on your updates. 

   Well, this is it, tomorrow is the big day! I have to be at the hospital at 530 am and surgery is at 730 am. Going to take the kids to my moms tonight, shes going to bring them up after they get me into a room tomorrow afternoon. 

Of course, I am very nervous. I am anxious about tomorrow, the future..making sure I do everything right....

I did my pre op 2week liquid diet. There were times I wasn't sure I was going to make it, but with the help of my husband *****fused to feed me , I made it with out cheating and lost 15 lbs on the way. 

So, scooch on over and make room for me!

Hello all,
I have read everything I could about what leads to failure etc.  I am concerned because I do love sweet things.  I think small portions will not affect me as much as depriving myself of sweets.  Then again, I have read that food taste change.  Has anyone had their taste change in an extreme way?
Just curious and perhaps a little hopeful!

Just remember how many of these surgeries they have done.  So many people have commented on how surprised they were to have little pain and that they were up and around so quickly.  I have a friend who just had it done in May and she went back to work after 2 weeks.  She said she felt so well and got bored by just sitting around.  She's been travelling all over the place all summer.  She says she just packs her protein bars and shakes and away she goes. 

I don't know what I'll be like tomorrow but today my mind just seems to be working like I'm going on a trip.  Did I pack this?  Will I need that?  I've heard lots of good things about my surgeon.  Everytime I went for some kind of appointment with the screening staff they would ask me who my surgeon is and then every single one of them has replied with "Oh good for you.   He's so nice and he really knows his stuff." 

We'll be fine and a week from now we'll be both saying "I can't believe we were worried.  This has been a piece of cake." 

I wish I could return the favor and say I'll be thinking of you at 10:30 but I think I will either still be in the operating room or off in LaLa land in the recovery room. 

I will come on and post here as soon as I can but I suspect it won't be until Friday or Saturday.
