I too am scheduled for the 16th and am on the liquids...and I am really struggling with it. I am hoping it will be easier during the work week when I have other things to focus on than food!!!

Hi, My Vertical sleeve surgery is set for July 12th, 2012 with Dr. Norwood.. I am very excitied and very confused.. The two week pre op liquid diet isn't as easy as I though it might be.. Of course I am only on my third day so I am still learning..I am trying to get my shakes to where I like them best.. If any one has any suggestins on getting through these two weeks would love the help. Thanks..:)

Is it possible to be terrified and excited all at the same time? My pre-op diet starts on the 11th and I feel terribly lost about what I need to be eating. And if it's the correct things. Just went to check out protein shakes at Whole Foods and now my head is spinning!

Hi, Christina, I'm actually in a very similar situation. My surgery was delayed a month due to insurance / hospital issues, too. I'm actually having the RNY on 7/16 in San Antonio. I hope that everything goes well for you. I hear that Dr. Steggeman is a great surgeon. One of my friends referred me to him but he had moved to the Corpus area before I made up my mind to have weight loss surgery.
