I had my surgery on July 19, 2011.  So almost 4 months out now and doing great.  I go to Curves at least 4x a week and I'm down 62lbs so far :)  I have my stalls but not letting them stop me.  I've got my eye on 140lbs and won't let anything stop me now!!  This surgery has been an absolute life saver for me!!

Hi Everyone -

Just checking in. I had my VSG on July 29th and as of this morning I have lost 56lbs since surgery. I feel amazing. This was the best decision I ever made. I just wish I would have done it sooner. I do need to start exercising more, maybe circuit training with weights. I seem to be averaging about 3lbs a week/12lbs per month.

Hope everyone is doing good out there.

Take care, E :)

I had my surgery on July 25...RNY.  I am doing pretty good but have been experiencing some nausea with different foods lately.  Don't really have an appetite for anything and am finding it difficult to stick to the proper amounts of protein and liquids.  I have never been a good "drinker" and I guess I never really liked meat all that much although I never paid it any attention until after the surgery.  I try hard to eat the protein first but still gravitate to the veges.  I have lost 34 lbs since my surgery, I hope that is a proper amount.  Have been having some nausea lately even with food that went down fine in the past.  Might be trying to eat too much or too fast I guess.  I would just rather not eat at all....

I had my surgery on July 14, 2011.  I had the sleeve and am down by 50 pound!!!!  I am doing good so far. Still struggling with proteins.  Some foods I still cannot digest so I stick with fish and ground turkey.  Keep servings of home made chili in the freezer for days when I don't feel like cooking.  I need to start exercise...and will very soon.  The good thing is that I am off all meds except for 2!!!!  No more glucophage!!!!  i feel great and can walk for miles without getting tired.  I thank God I had the surgery and for bringing me through.  Funny, I can't remember ever feeling this great in my life and I know it's will only get better.

My surgery date was July 5th. I weighed 265 that morning. Sept 10th today I'm at 223. That's down 42 lbs. No complications. No more diabetes. It's all good!
