I know several people that had the vsg. They all did wonderful. I have a friend we are doing this journey together. We are just waiting on approval, hopefully we will find out this week and be able to schedule........I am soooooo excited!!

I think I have a lot of the same fears as you do.  The biggest one right now is what if I go through all this and I don't lose weight?  Does that make me a loser etc...also will I ever be able to eat again? (I'm on my liquid diet now and it's so hard)... I am worried a little about possible complications and then the pain scares me cuz I hate pain.  But the 2 that really get me is will I ever be able to eat again... and not losing weight :(

I am on day three of liquid diet. Day two was the worst so far. I was no weak and irritable, I hurt all over. I called a freind who has had this done and she said more water and more protein. I woke up today feeling a lot better. Your body is fighting off all the junk I had put into it, so I guess I get what's coming to me, LOL. I also use the Body Fortress from Walmart, it tastes better than all the others and has 52 grams of protein in 1 scoop. I can't stand grainy stuff and it's not like that. I added a little istant coffee to my vanilla shake this morning and man does it taste good!!! Maybe I will have energy today. Good luck to all you July surgeries, mine in July 18th. Anyone else July 18th out there?
