Topic: RE: Surgery Postponed due to ulcers
Hi how's it going?  I too just had a endoscopy and they found two ulcer's and a heria.  So far my surgery hasn't been postponed, but I'm waiting to see what the surgeon says after he see's the report from the Dr that did the enoscopy.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  The Dr called and said he would like to see it completely healed before the surgery, but said it's up to the surgeon if he wants to go ahead.

Good luck to us both

freak out a little?

I'm so not worried about the surgery part of the vsg, I'm worried how to manage it all after.  Saying goodbye to the old me and way of eating isn't going to be easy, but I think I'm up for the challenge.  But, honestly, the change coming our way is so huge that we'll have to break it up in smaller chunks and deal with the things that come to us as they come.  I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm hoping it won't hold all this extra fat and burden I'm carrying around.

Take care my July surgery friends, here we go!

I started my two week, full liquid preop diet today.  So far so good - but it's only been 1/2 day so far... ask me by the end of the weekend and we'll see!

We have the same surgery day!  I found Torani brand syrup in the coffee aisle at my grocery store. Rasberry is yummmy both in vanilla and chocolate shakes.  Let me know how the cheesecake goes!  Do you add a whole package at one time?

Has anyone tried the Nectar Roadside Lemonade?  I have a jug of it, but not sure whether to mix it in water or iced tea.

I started mine 2 days ago.. they aren’t bad. My surgery is on the 6th of July. I'm just tempted to cheat at work cuz they keep taking us out to eat. I'm having trouble finding any sugar free syrups. Where did you get yours? A mixology I came across that I have yet to try is a strawberry cheesecake one. You just add a package of sugar free Jello cheesecake mix into your vanilla or strawberry shake. If its vanilla you can add a few natural strawberries or sugar free syrups of your choice. I plan to try it this afternoon. I’m still nervous about the whole thing but I just wanna get it over and done with already!
