alright, who's starting to...

freak out a little? 

I'm so not worried about the surgery part of the vsg, I'm worried how to manage it all after.  Saying goodbye to the old me and way of eating isn't going to be easy, but I think I'm up for the challenge.  But, honestly, the change coming our way is so huge that we'll have to break it up in smaller chunks and deal with the things that come to us as they come.  I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm hoping it won't hold all this extra fat and burden I'm carrying around.

I'm a little over a week away and freakin' about one thing or another everyday.  One day it's the surgery, then what do I eat, what if I CAN"T eat?, what if I CAN eat and eat too much?  What if I  don't lose any weight?  Will I lose my hair?  Will I have alot of baggy skin?  Yadda, yadda, yadda

I'm going to take Maureen_1966's advice and take this one chunk at a time.  With a little help, I think I'll be OK.

You sound like you have the right attitude.  Good luck and a new beginning is a great way of looking at this.  I just found this site tonight and look forward to having others to talk to about everything.

I have my surgery scheduled for the 16th and yeah I'm freaking out... I'm excited more than anything tho... i cant wait to get on the right track.. i am going to miss junk tho.. it has been my buddy for so long but that's why i am the way i am... good luck to everyone this month with their surgeries!! we are almost on the losers bench!

I had VSG on 7/19 I am ok I dont feel hungry at all when I do I sip water they say we have "head hunger" so I started protein drinks few days ago that helps...I miss Junk too trust me I  lived at the taco shop....(shhhh dont tell anyone) so how r things with you then???

My surgery is schedule for the 8th and I have to admit I am a little worried but I know that it is for the best, and I have to remind myself of that everytime I get those feelings. Good luck and I know that when we look back at this in a year we are going to be very happy that we have brought a change to ourselves.

I have freaked out, calmed myself, then freaked out some more!  My surgery is on the 19th.  Today it hit me again that my surgery is less than 3 weeks away.  I figure between now and then, I'll freak out a whole lot more, but I'm super excited. 

July will be a new start for us all.  Good luck to you all.

i here you im scheduled for the 19th as well and i have been freaking out as well the process seemed to take forever... until your approved but after that it happens so quick i got my surgery date last week  the day i was approved..
