Laura, it's so hard to find a lotion that doesn't contain any alcohol! I have had the most luck with lubriderm, I guess I'll keep going with that.

Thanks Lisa! I can try that, even though I hate the idea of taking any more pills! I feel like such a junkie already! LOL

Yeah girlie I did about 2 mos. ago.. I talk to my doc he said that the vitamin deficiencies of A & E exist after surgery. Both vitamins help the skin ( elasticity & moisture) .. I started taking vitamin A & E each day.. it went away. Try it out and see if it works.. I got mine from WAL-MART.. A&D combo & E vitamin.

Brandi, You must be on cloud 9 from all these positive comments. Isn't it great. I'm so happy for you. I'll be there with you by the end of the summer I hope. Keep up the great work!
Topic: OMG! 3 more lbs. until I've lost 200 lbs.
I got on the scale this morning and couldn't believe it. I had lost 8 lbs. since last Friday. I weighed 212 lbs. down from a all time high of 409 lbs. Wow, unbelievable!!! In less than a year.
In 3 more pounds I'll have lost 200 lbs. I am continually shocked and grateful for what this surgery has brought to me. My life back. Friends included.
I believe the 8 lbs. loss was due to 2 factors. I had my period going last week, so I usually retain water and the help of a good laxative from the health food store to help my almost week long constipation. Hope it's not to much information. I don't usually lose 8 lbs. in a week, not since the beginning of this journey anyway.
Sending good thoughts out to all my fellow Julyers, Peace and Love, Laura

This is probably not what you wanted to hear, but I haven't had any problem with dry skin. Hair falling out yes, but that stopped about 2 months ago.
I do drink lots of water and take biotin 5000 mg. per day. It is good for hair, skin, and nails. Maybe that's helping me. It could be your environment. Is your house real dry? I hope you feel better soon.
Have you tryed other kinds of lotions, make sure it doesn't contain alcohol.

I am literally flaky ALL the time. It' most noticeable on my arms. I'm trying all kinds of creams and I hate to use anything in my armpits because if they get too dry theu start to itch.
Am I alone?

to comment on your post regarding the annoying people...I have those in my life, too. The BIGGEST pet peeve I have is the people who feel like they can tell the world that I've had RNY. I'm not embarrassed AT ALL, but everyone has the back-stabbers at work, and they're the ones I don't want to know. They're GOSSIP HOUNDS, and it ****** me off.
whew. glad I got that off of my chest.
