You are so right, because when I did my protien yesterday and today, I have already lost almost a pound and a half.  Man, those carbs find the craziest ways to sneak back into our meals, don't they?  Makes me sooo mad!

Girlie.. you are doing we'll... just realize that there is no mysterious ticking clock.. everyone loses there weight at a different speed.. your body is just taking a minute to catch-up that's all... YOU HAVE BEEN WORKING IT HARD!!..LOL!!... I stayed on a stall for about 2 1/2 months with a few lbs here and there.. then the weight started to drop again .. this week... but during the stall.. I dropped another size.. so check your measurements.. and if you up your protein.. it will help.. try straight protein.. less carbs sometimes that works..

OK I have finally hit a stall... haven't lost an ounce in two weeks.  Also, I have noticed that I have been feeling hungry a lot more lately.  After reading some posts, I notice that there are a lot of folks that are feeling this way.  That is wny I am so thankful for this group... makes me feel more normal.  I think that I am going to add a protien drink back into my routine again... I noticed that they make me feel full a bit longer, so maybe it will help get me back through this hump.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  I have 21 pounds to go until I hit my goal, and since I am almost at the 12 month mark, the clock is TICKING!!!

I DID IT!  GOAL.... in just 339 days!!!!!!!  I'm soo very proud of myself right now. I can't believe I got to 175lbs... it actually happened last week and today I weighed in at 174.5lbs. Size 10 / Med shirts - 34 C bra! From 299lbs - size 22/24 and a a 48 DDD bra! OMG!  I'm amazed, I'm proud, I'm full of excitment, I am happy that I made a life changing decision to remove bad habbits and to learn to eat properly.  Food is no longer the first thing I think about ... I no longer crave food - I still often forget to eat.  AMAZING huh?   I'm still bad with drinking and eating at the same time, I still don't get the required protein in, I still take my vitamins etc.   Let's see - life in general has been much better.  I've made changes for the better and can now see that light that shines ever so bright.... my future!  I'm scheduled to represent my company at an upcoming tradeshow in Milan in September... NEVER would I have been at this particular show weighing 299lbs.  NEVER.  I'm an attention ***** right now... men are so much more in my face now.   I love the attention actually.  I don't date at all... just trying to enjoy ME for a change.  Work is going great...seriously - the positives are all because of my change in attitude and obviously weight which sucks ass but it's the society we live in.  I got a new car a few months ago, I'm getting my teeth whiten on Friday.

What eles is new??  I started a belly dancing class which is amazing.  I highly reccomend this class if you are in the proccess of body toning.  My feet have shrunk... I've worn a size 12 shoe since I was 15 - I can fit in a 11 maybe a 10 depending on the shoe maker.   Who would have thought?  I wear at least a 3" heels EVERYWHERE and I'm 6' tall.   I love it.  I used to be really self concious about my height.  REALLY... now I could care less.  Nothing I can do about my height anyway - so I'm going to rock it like it's 1999!   My vitals are all PERFECT.  No issues to report - which is exciting.

Here's a couple of photos of me with my best friend in the whole world .... yeah I have a smoke in my hand so don't judge me - I already know the rules.

Love ya'll...
ME AGAIN!

Girlie.. do not worry .. its a day to day thing... it will take time.. they problem .. we women will always have is hormone imbalance which causes us to eat.. a lot at times.. then nothing at all.. you may want to get this check.. mine are extremely out of whack especially since my weight is still not stable.. my  regular DOC said that this will go on till around the 18 to 24 months after surgery.. he says this causes the fluctuations in mood swings.. food appetite.. and weight changes.. when you feel that hungry.. I try to grab high protein stuff.. roasted chicken.. deli sliced meat.. turkey jerky.. or Wendy's chili.. it tends to work.. also since I started using a potassium vitamin.. it kinda help the hormone spike imbalance( estrogene).. but first talk to your doctor.. you are okay girlie.. and if you work out at least 3 times per week your metabolism will function properly to sub-size the occasional treats..

It's sooo funny...I haven't been on here for a few months and when I logged on I uploaded new pictures and while doing that I noticed the old pictures and OMG it was like looking at a stranger.  I couldn't believe the roll I had.  But I am sooo happy right now and I feel pretty good.

You look awesome!!  Good job!!

Don't stay away.  You will not be judged here.  Most of us are going through the same things!

I am still terrified I will overeat and screw this whole thing up.  I have my days where I make poor choice after poor choice.  But I try to start a new beginning each time and I still congradulate myself when I make a good choice.  So I can acknowledge that I DO make good choices, too.

I know I eat way more than I should.  I haven't lost any weight in over three months.  I know that if I was eating less I would still be losing and yet I am not willing to starve myself, so I live in fear of the "inevitable regain" and what that will bring and how will I feel when I had the opportunity to start at a lower wieght but didn't get down low enough.  Does that makes sense?

I don't think I have done nearly enough to change my old eating habits and if  I think about that too long I get a HUGE clutch of panic up in my throat.  I don't ever want to be fat again!  And I find that to be a huge motivator if I let it.  Sometimes it is just enough to help me make the right choices!

The only thing I am doing very well right now is exercise.  I figure if I make poor eating choices and refuse to starve myself, the LEAST I can do is exercise to offset some of those calories.  For me, right now, it is working and I feel extremely grateful for that.

Come back. every day if thats what it takes.  No one will think less of you and everyone will try their best to support you.  Tell us what is working as well as what is not working and maybe someone can help.  Or maybe, by your just being willing to share your struggles, you will help someone else!

Take care,

Ruth
