Topic: Natural Bridge Caverns checked off my list!

I did it!  Oh yes!!!  I wanted to chicken out so bad that I was actually trying to downplay the caverns to my girls.  But once I got there, I was like "Let's do it!"  And I'm so glad I did!

Going down wasn't hard, but it was slippery so I had to be careful.  Coming back up was not terrible but my heartrate did rise and I was breathing heavier.  But it wasn't impossible.  Wahoo!!!

It was 180 ft. deep.

My girls are ready to go back!

I'm going to post a picture so go check it out.

I have a friend at work who has had a band for about 12 or so years.  When I first started noticing hair loss, she said that it still happens to her from time to time.  So it might be something that we just have to grin and bear every once in a while.  I don't know...

Well all I wanna say is that im am sooooo happy!!  July 31 was my 1 yr out and i am doing great. I never thought i could look like this ever in my life because i was soooo  scared to have the surgery. Now I have no regrets and i would do it alll over again! There are ups and downs like losing hair, strictures, or eating too little but i got thru it all. Now I thank God that he has given me another chance in life with no hurting or no regrets and if anyone is skeptical in the surgery I would say "don't". Years before i have been miserable and depressed to how i used to look. I now wish i could have done the surgery sooner than i did but at least i did it and i am happy the way i am! I get many compliments that i dont know how to take because as a big mama i never got them but im sure ill get used to them. lol

Lauren.... wow I'm sure glad Lisa posted about this... we could have been suffering all alone....

I'm so sorry you had to undergo another surgery! Probably some of your issues are related to that... But very interesting that at least 3 of us July people are having hair issues AGAIN.

Mine isn't falling out 30 to 40 at a time anyway... like in the beginning but definately more than what I would consider as normal since I hadn't had any NOTICIABLE loss in some time....

hope you start feeling better soon...

Mu hair started falling out again, too?? Weird! Maybe it happens when you're one year out?

I had huge, gigantic reconstructive surgery of the lumbar spine on May 21st. I am blaming mine on that.  I was under anesthesia for 9 hours. I feel like everything has been out of whack since then. My body has been through so much this year. Poor body.

Has anyone started having horrendous gas at a year out? Maybe it's just the price to pay with being able to eat little bits of new foods, or perhaps its the meds I am taking for my nerves in my spine. I don't know which it is, but it's awful.
I count protein, fluid ounces, and my blessings everyday.

That cut is ADORABLE!  Your hair will grow... in the meantime enjoy that cute cut!!!

My hair started falling again also... just this past week i'm noticing it.

I feel your pain....   the only thing I can think of ... is how are your thyroid levels? I had my bloodwork done recently but haven't had the results back yet.
