Doesn't sound too bad. I'm usually good with about 1/2 slice of toasted bread and that does it for me. I've put low fat peanut butter on it and some sugar free jelly and that makes for a nice treat. Like you said, in moderation and I think you'll be OK. Plus, as long as your Doc/Nut say it's ok, then go by what they recommend. It's all good.

thank you Dominique and Gena - I needed that reassurance. I think in my own heart of hearts, I know I'm doing just fine, but there's always the moments when you wonder "when will this scale just drop me 10 lbs at once"
Topic: First sandwich since surgery
Ok so i decided to try bread today. 100% whole wheat bread 1 slice and i made it into a grilled ham and cheese little low fat maoyo and butter oh my goodness it was yummy and i couldn't even fini**** before i could have eaten 2 whole ones meaning 4 slices of bread 2 slices of cheese and 8 slices of ham. I noticed i have been feeling very light headed as of late and i have not eaten much in teh way of carbs so i thought i would give it a try. This is not something i plan to eat every day but as a nice chage it was good. I figure as long as i eat the good carbs and watch my intake I should be good. I was tired of the same thing over and over. My pouch feels a little heavy but not bad i probably ate 3/4 of it and was done.
Topic: RE: 4 months out and needing to talk
Well, you guys have encouraged me so thank you! I have started walking in the evening with the kiddos. We have a large block, so we walked around it. It kind of sucks because we have no sidewalks and I have to go kind of slow since I have a 6 year old that walks with me. But it's something. I am going to start doing my weight lifting in the PM again. That really made me feel good. Thanks again friends!

Yeah, the hair thinning is a bit traumatic. I cut my hair off and it seems to have helped. At least it doesn't look like as much falling out everywhere and I don't pull it back into a pony anymore. I don't think that was helping either.

Topic: RE: Living between the stalls
I know how frustrating the scale can be. I hate my scale this week. It is going up then down because of my monthly cycle. No matter how much I exercise, protein and water. Just cant' get it to go in the right direction. I am so frustrated with it. Last week it went up to 217.4 then this week went to 215 then it went down 212.6 and now these last 2 days it is back to 214.2. I can't take it anymore. I working myself hard and can't get it to go anywhere. My goal this month was to get to 200 or less. The way it is going I don't think it will happen by thanksgiving. Too much with gain and plateaus going on.
OMG last week Friday I went to parent/teacher conference and I try to sit in the school desk, I can't believe it fit perfectly in it. Did not even have to sit side ways. Wow can't remember the last time I was able to sit in school desk. That is amazing!

Topic: BMI GET OUTTA HERE!!
Hello all...
I have been in the poop's the last couple day's playing pity party.. even while the scale is moving not as fast as I want... so the other day I finally entered the weight loss for two weeks, and you know what!! my BMI is down from 59 to 39!! YEAH!! out of the morbid obesity area!!.. Then when I viewed this information I had to realize it's not the size of clothes, it's not the scale, it's the fact that of blood pressure is down from 146 to 128 no med's needed, instead of hypo I'm now hyperglycemia having to eat vs. eating too much, I can now walk over 4 miles per day, and the fact that I measure my food in proportions that I never use to do and say that's enough!! HOLD on a minute crying right know!! But not a bad thing it is because I'm so happy, because I finally understand that through all the struggles, stalls, frustration, I'm finding my WAY!! I so grateful that I can see ME.. I lost this person so long ago.. and I don't want to ever do that again.. So everyone raise your GLASSES OF PROTEIN SHAKES WITH ME.. BECAUSE WE ARE TOTALLY SO WORTH IT!!
LUV & HUGS!!

I hear you! I am in the same boat. I worry about the days when it falls on my shoulders to maintain the weightloss. I am eating more now that I can handle more. I am also pushing protein foods and don't mess with shakes. I have the bars but eat maybe one a week. So I'll probably be a baldy come February.
I am exercising now. I actually just started about two weeks ago and I can tell a major difference. Not so much on the scales as I can in the way my clothes are fitting. Also in pictures of myself I can see a waist line where I never used to have one. I am getting to the point where I enjoy exercising. It is great stress relief! I also put music on my iphone and listen to it while working out. It makes the time fly by and it seems less like work. The treadmill is easiest.. but I have been doing the Elliptical now and it is kicking my butt! I call it the torture machine. But it does have it's perks.. It's working my thighs and butt! The two places I need it most (besides my belly).
LOL, Best of luck you are doing great!
