Thanks everyone for the wonderful compliments. Just wanted to clarify on my weight loss so far. I have lost a total of 67lbs post surgery and a total of 104lbs from my highest from last year. My highest weight last year was 384 and now I am 280. Hopefully I will be in the 270's by mid week.

Good job on your weight lost. I have lost 67lbs post surgery and 104lbs total. I am so thankful this Thanksgiving! Just to think I was thinking about this surgery last year and never had the courage to do anything. It feels good this year not to stuff my face.....WOW!!

And you know what... splenda doesn't taste half bad in a sweet patato pie, and cheese cake!! I was worried about that lttle after taste tht splenda may have if you use to much!!

Topic: Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful day! Not sure why, but I'm looking forward to today. We are just having a small meal with my family, but I feel that's the way it should be. Called our brothers and sisters and invited them over. If they come then great but if they don't then I'm totally fine too. It's weird. For so long, I worried about where to go for holidays and had to spend it in a big family setting. I don't know if the surgery has anything to do with it or not, but now I have more independence. This year, I planned to have the Thanksgiving meal at my house and I didn't ask anyone to bring anything. My husband and I are making the entire meal with the assumption that it will only be our children and us, plus my FIL and BIL. And I'm totally fine with it. I don't know if I'm expressing my feelings the right way. I guess that now I don't have to worry about having the family's approval. I can do my own thing and not be worried about what everyone thinks.

I"ve gone through all of the sizes I had kept through the years (size 22 to 16) and I'm almost out of what I can wear. I have a love/hate feeling about the baggy/sloppy feeling in my clothes. I love that I'm losing, and my clothes are an incredibe indicator when my head and the scale are telling me otherwise. However, I think we all look better in clothing when it fits us correctly. I just bought my first pair of size 14 pants in a long time and couldn't believe the amount of compliments I received just from wearing clothes that fit.
I'm running out of backup clothes!
I recently discovered a great clothing consignment shop called, My Sister's Closet and love it. There was a Prada suit there for under $50.00 that looked brand new...okay, it was a size 2, but it was awesome!
