6 lbs lost in 6 days!

I'm having a weight loss spurt.   Woo!  No idea what is causing it but I hope it continues! 
After 3 months of a lowly 3 lb loss per month I really needed this.

that's awesome Joanna.  I keep waiting to see mine change too.  And I keep working out and keep eating the same way for the most part.  Patience, patience  :-)

I see we had about the same starting weight and same goal.  Patience is the hard part isn't it?  I keep doing the right thing without seeing much in the way of results, so this little spurt of weight loss has really made me feel better.

Thank you!  You are doing incredible yourself!  I have a goal of being under 200 lbs. by college graduation May 15.  I may just make it!

Are you graduating? I am a 51 year old sophomore with one class left to take next Fall semester to complete my associate's degree in Health Information Management. This WLS has been great for my career potential.

What are you doing?

I'm graduating with an associate's degree in Human Services.  My internship hired me, so instead of going on for my bachelor's in social work at the local university - which would have been day classes, I'm going on for my bachelor's in human services through a college which has a program for degree completions.  Meets one night a week and the rest online.  WLS really helped me with self-esteem and confidence issues. This, I think, is what got me my job.

We must be traveling similar paths in life. I am looking for a site to complete my last clinical/internship. Then I can graduate in December of 2010. Hopefully, a large, progressive hospital that promotes continuing education will hire me. (I'm working on it).

This weight loss has been wonderful for my self-esteem too! I just went to my first professional conference and I met so many impressive contacts and mentors to help me as I continue my career path. I also want to complete my bacholors degree, on-line if necessary. I'm even applying for a job in Brussels, Belgium. Why not? Dream big! I never would have been able to do that without having the surgery.

I've wavered with a one pound loss for the last two months and finally lost three pounds this week!   I was beginning to think I wasn't going to lose anymore.  Baby steps . . .

Isn't it frustrating?  I went on to lose 8 lbs in 9 days, and then I promptly gained 2 lbs back.  ARG!
We're getting there.  :)
