An UNBELIEVABLE appetite!
The Carb Monster will get you! I've been adding in a protein shake mid morning when I feel the urge to eat then again mid afternoon. My favorite is Click espresso protein made with low sugar/high protein chocolate milk and a lot of ice. I whiz it in my magic bullet. It's thick and rich and tastes better than a Starbuck's frappuccino. I'm addicted! It satisfies my sweet tooth and carb craving but, in reality, it's low in carbs. YUM!
I can relate.. so a friend of mine gave me an idea.. post a old before surgery pic ..on your restroom mirror.. look at that picture.. to maintain that you will not fail or get back to the size ever again.. this is part of a 7 step program kinda like in re-hab it works!!.. I look at this picture every morning to remind myself to stay focused and not allow this to occur again.. I believe we all get too comfortable in our own skin.. that's a blessing but can also be a curse.. we cannot stop and return to the same mind frame.. I also found out if you are working out.. there is a certain amount of carbs needed... but good carbs though.. like almonds are a GOD sent they will keep you full!!, whole wheat's, apples, veggies with carbs such as peas, mixed veggies.. they tend to keep you fuller longer and maintain...until the next meat.. they stay in your pouch longer.. I also try water loading.. it works.. drink water for over two hours between each meal you will eat less.. also mini meals keep the pouch full and metabolism boosted.. WE CAN DO IT GIRLIE.. YOU LOOK AWESOME....
I am so glad to hear that everyone else is struggling with the same things I am!!! I worried I was alone in my snacking and eating the wrong things! I have been snacking constantly! Do any of you know what the percentage of people gaining their weight back after WLS is? I have been trying to find this information on the web and I can't find a statistic. I am so afraid I am going to F* it all up and gain all this weight back! I hope I can get myself back on track. I am going to take the advice and stick to protein. Next week I am going to dedicate my week and all my groceries to buying MEAT. And by the way my doctor says I should be eating only 2 ounces about 6 times a day. I am WAYYYY over that amount! I can eat a whole slice of pizza no problem. :(
