I've "cheated" too.  I love that I can take a small bite of something and be satisfying with that little taste.  I usually won't take a taste until I've eaten my protein, though.  Everything in moderation!

Pre-op I lost 41 lbs in 9 months by trying to limit the bad foods.  I tried to be good at least 90% of the time and make good choices.  The other 10% I would have bad things but not as much as I used to..and the theory worked and I was pretty happy. 

I haven't felt deprived of anything in a really long time and I think that will be a big part of my success.

You look TERRIFIC Kriste!!  Great picture.  I'm at a stall at -32.  I probably should start getting in some real exercise, although lately, my exercise consists of basic house chores every morning.  Laundry and cleaning out stuff.  It all needs to be done and I feel like I'm getting in something other than setting down  :-)

So far I haven't done too badly on my food choices, although, I think I probably tried almonds a bit too soon, but they didn't "bother" me, but I really can't see if it's doing any damage to my pouch.  I chew them up real good, but........well, I just wonder........
