Has anyone tried salad yet?

I have been craving vegetables and fruit.  I actually ate an entire plum today.  I peeled it because I'm afraid of the skin, but it tasted so good and my pouch accepted it like a lady!  I'm really craving salad, but my nutrition packet says not until 4-6 months out.  Have any of you tried lettuce or raw cabbage?

I have not yet but OMG I want a salad soooo bad!!!  My nut. pack says not for 6 months as well so I don't want to take any chances.  If you decide to try it let me know how it goes.  BTW I eat every other veggie I can. I'll try the skin but usually can't chew it good enough to feel comfortable swallowing it.

I had my surgery on July 6 of this year and I was told last week to try salad.

I am still having problems keeping things down. For that reason I have not tried it yet. I would like too. I just have not.

My doc said that I could eat salad from 4 weeks on.  I don't often because I don't like wasting  prime real estate in the pouch on non protein foods.  I actually had an anti pasta salad for dinner tonight!

I have!  Salad was approved at 4 weeks out... I can't eat much of it ... but boy does it keep you full!  You'll never know until you try it.

I haven't done raw veggies yet.  I'm not an adventurous eater.  I've had cooked squash, broccoli, and asparagus.

I've had salad (not sure if I'm suppose too but I have).  It was mostly raw spinach, romaine lettuce, mushrooms broccoli and onions.  It went down fine but you have to be careful with dressing as most have so much added sugar.

Not yet.  But i want one so bad  I found salad dressing that had low sugar and low carb.  I am ready, but when I get one I want it to be right.

I have had salad and it goes down wonderfully....It has romaine lettuce, cucumber, carrots, cheese, bacon bits, brocolli, & cauliflower.  With a small amount of ranch dressing.  My NUT sayd it is good brain food to have with some type of meat or protein.  It is sooo good and I have not had any trouble with it.  Gotta chew good!!!!

I have tried some salad... each Doctor tells you different... my DOC... said as long as it is shredded very fine I'm good...so sometimes at work ... I go to Subway... because there lettuce is shredded very little... I just avoid the gas causing vegetables like... bellpepper... onions...if it is shredded very fine I can eat a whole cup...Subway's grilled chicken breast salad is 24 grams of protein when you eat the chicken & the lettuce..
