and it nearly put me in tears, except that I was too credulous.  I didn't believe it so I tried on another pair of 16s and they fit too.
Then I took them off and layed them out over the baggy pair of pants I wore to work today so I could see if they were a different size.  They were.
Then I looked in the mirror and with my clothes off I look the same to me.  Wow!   This is really strange.

I started out as a 24.  Today a 16.  Wow!

That is so awesome! I went shopping yesterday and although I was still putting on size 24s, I was able to put them all on and they all buttoned and zipped.  They didn't all look good because of the lovely butt in the front look I get when pants don't fit right.  I am not sure what size I actually got to at my highest.  The last pair of Jeans I bought was a snug size 7 at lane bryant.  I am not sure what equivalant that really is. I have been wearing elastic band clothes for so long.  I am hoping that by the time it is time to really wear jeans all the time (I'm in so cal, so late october probably) I'll be in a 20 or smaller.  It has been years since I have seen those numbers! Very exciting!

OMG I think I would have fallen over if I was wearing a 16!!!  Congratulations!!!

Alot of people have asked me about the surgery and I tell them it's the best thing I've ever done.  The clothes thing is just amazing!  I can't wait for the 16!

Wow -that's such a big difference.  Congratulations and all since mid July.   How much have you lost since surgery date?  I'm guilty of comparing myself.  Size 24 at date of surgery and I'm down to 2X fitting much better.  24 to 16 is a huge difference.

Tell us your secret  ;-)

Luanne - I had my surgery in July but I had my tonsils out about a month before that and dropped 17 lbs right after!  Yep, that will happen when you can't eat anything but protein drinks and applesauce.    So I have lost about 25 lbs since July 13th.

I went and tried on all the clothes I own today.  I kept the ones that didn't look ridiculous. It looks like I will be spending the fall in mostly skirts and blouses.  My kids (in my classroom) won't recognize me in skirts.  LOL
