I did a totally stupid mindless thing . . .

I was packing snacks for my kids and I popped a graham cracker S'more cookie (the small round ones) in my mouth, chewed it up and swallowed.   I haven't dumped on anything yet and I hope this doesn't make it happen.

It was kind of a WOW moment since I didn't even realize what I was doing until it was too late.    Total flashback of bad behavior!

  I'm skeeered!  I don't want to dump.

I'm scared to dump too.  I think you will be okay.  One little bitty cracker shouldn't have that much sugar.

Graham cracker with icing in the middle.

I felt a little weird (light headed and weak) for about 20 minutes then it went away.   Whew!

Must keep mouth closed while packing lunches!

The good news (and the bad) is that if one is not a serving, then it probably didn't have enough sugar to make you have a full dump episode.  The weird feeling was probably a sugar rush!

The bad news is we have to all guard against that..well just one bit won't hurt!  Over time all those little bites will add up as empty calories!

I am a finger licker!  I have to watch that when I'm making a PBJ sandwich that I don't lick my fingers.  I am also a taster when I cook for the family.  Another habit I'm trying to remake.  Sometimes it is necessary, but not 10 bites when cooking!

I drank out of a straw last week on accident.  That  was a painful lesson.

We are relearning from a lifetime of habits - it won't happen over night.

You are doing GREAT!

The best thing happen was you identified what had happen and it was only one. Remember that we were all food addicts and because we got this tool we still are food addicts. So if this happens you  have to move on and continue to do the right thing.........Now this little quote came from our wonderful surgeon Dr. Garth!!! He's the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was on my pre-op liquid diet, I did crazy stuff like that TWICE.

I was making my husband some spaghetti to have in the freezer so I wouldn't have to cook when I got home from the hospital. I popped two spaghetti noodles in my mouth like it was nothing to see if they were cooked yet. This was about two days before my surgery when I was supposed to be "cleaning out" my system.

Another time the kid next door was picking blueberries and said, "Here, try some." I threw a handful in my mouth without even thinking about it.

Weird how we do these things without thinking. They've just been a part of our lives for so long.

I know how you feel!  I did the same thing over the weekend..but with a BEER!  I was holding a beer for someone and am soo used to taking swigs of my water every 5 seconds..that I started talking and didn't realize it wasn'****er until I swallowed!

It's amazing how it makes us aware of how we ate or drank w/out even thinking about it before...hope you didn't dump!

I've been having bites ofthings occasionally that aren't necessarily on my plan and I've been fine with it. If you really can stick to just a little of something ... like a bite of someone else's and never a whole one of your own I think you'll be fine.
