I will be 4 wks out tomorrow and celebrate my one month surgiversary on Aug. 20th. I have really been wanting to try and eat some summer fruits before it's too late and I was just curious to see what you guys are eating, since we all had surgery the same month.

I have started eating french style green beans (chewed up really well) but I would love to add in some other veggies. I am just scared!

hi!  we actually had surgery on the same day!

as far as veggies and fruits, I have eaten (and have been told by my Nut that it is OK):

1/2 banana cut up in tiny pieces and chewed to mush
3 small strawberries cut up in tiny pieces and chewed to mush
1/4 c watermelon cut up in tiny pieces and chewed to mush

fresh yellow and orange peppers, cut into small pieces and cooked with a small turkey sausage

today, i ate a giant cherry tomato cut up and chewed very well....

I count protein, fluid ounces, and my blessings everyday.

I've really only had blueberries and blackberries so far but I'm not a huge fruit eater anyway.  I eat grean beans, yellow squash, zuchini, tomatoes, onions, red pepper and spinach regularly and have had no problems with any of it.

No pineapple because of the sugar content... it is very high!!!

Nevermind the grapes..... i was wrong... .(my partner just told me that isn't with RNY .. .just with VBG.. .which is what i had first....)

No oranges yet cuz of the acid.... but if you take pepcid or something like that for your tummy it should be ok....

Pineapple is my fave fruit of all time.... oh well... :o(

I eat steamed broccoi a lot!  I keep it on hand and throw it into my eggs sometimes in the morning.  It was one of my staple foods during my purees stage because it would mush so small.

I have eaten all fruits and veggies I would have eaten before surgery.  I am a little scared to eat the skin though.
