Too much sugar substitutes?
It seems everything I have been drinking has Splenda or some other sugar substitue in it. The milk based shakes are bothering too much. But I have either burned out my taste buds or something with the ISOPURE drinks and crystal light powders. I'm having a hard time making myself sip it. I feel like my throat is saying "NO NO No more". I feel like my body is saying it cant tolerate any more of it.

OMG, I thought it was just me sick of sweet! I'm totally craving salt! Regular water kinda hurts going down, so I found something wonderful!!!! Sonic raspberry unsweet tea!
I asked the people for their nutrition guide and it's no caffeine and like 1 carb but no sugar at all!! I didn't add sweetner so it was kinda tart but the difference in taste was awesome!

I was never really big on sweets. I always preferred the savory. I used to drink plain unsweet tea without any kind of sweetener in it.
I love broth and cream soups are ok. The cream soups are easy to hide unflavored protein powder in--it's just not as convenient for me as mixing up a protein shake or grabbing a pre-made Atkins shake.

I just tried the unjury chicken powder. I mixed it with chicken broth instead of water. It was pretty good. I've also tried heating up tomato juice with 1/3c dry nonfat milk powder. I have definitely been leaning more towards these the last few days.
I haven't tried any decaf teas. I think I'll look for some today. Thanks for the Sonic tip. However, there is no Sonics in Vermont.
Thank you for your responses. It's nice to know that we are not alone in this.
