Surgery List updated again!
Bringing the list forward because I will forget to check it as it gets further on the back pages.
I am so proud of all of us who have already had surgery and those of us getting ready! Please make sure to let our July buddies know how you feel and how excited you are for them. All the support is so encouraging!
I like to call us the "July Freedom Fighters". We are fighting for our freedom from this oppression of obesity. I know it's corny, but I like corn!!!

I had my surgery last monday, on the 6th. I had no idea this forum existed..ive been hanging out on the RNY bored bugging them! I'm so glad I found this forum! Wooohooo.
I am doing okay. I haven't had a BM yet so I have to do Mag Citrate tomorrow
I've been holding about 64 oz of liquid a day (but only peeing like once a day...is that normal??), but cant hold protein shakes down yet.
Ive been eating 5, 1 oz meals a day. Things like applesauce, egg salad, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, pudding, jello, etc
And I've lost 12 lbs so far!

Hi - I had my bypass on July 1 and tomorrow I am moving on to Stage 2 - Pureed foods. SO LONG LIQUIDS - I can't wait to have something that has some flavor to it, although I love my sugar free popsicles and intend on staying with them. I've only experienced that one incident with the Ensure. I think I just put too much splenda in it because I haven't had any trouble with milk in anything else - thank goodness. I'm able to sleep again on my side which is wonderful and am able to sit up in bed and play cards. I have been lucky enough so far (knock on wood) to have had no problems at all. I have lost 9 inches and 21 pounds in 14 days so I am extremely happy with my progress so far. I am up to walking between 30-60 minutes a day. I wish everyone the best of luck and thoroughly enjoy checking in everyday to see how everyone else is doing and to gain wonderful incite and advice. Take care!

Everything is going fine and dandy here! Still haven't had any lingering pain--some sharp pinches when my tummy pulled on an incision and some tender moments when I contorted oddly.
As long as I pay attention to the time, I'm able to get in all my protein and liquids and vitamins!
I feel absolutely ready to return to my desk job, but I may fake some fatigue to play on my surgeon's sympathies at my post-op tomorrow. I have way too much schoolwork to handle.
I'm excited about moving to full liquids tomorrow! Hooray for cream soups, applesauce, yogurt and pudding!
