Anyone get an IVC Filter?

I had one placed to help prevent blood clots last Thursday and I don't know if its the filter or the 3rd day of liquid diet, but my joints are starting to hurt and part of me thinks its in my head :P

Feel fine other than a bit "empty" which I kinda like, its almost liberating!

Yes, I had one installed in April.  

I was sore for a few days in my groin area and I thought my legs were a little swollen too. It turned out I was just getting my period and bloating.

I have a blood clotting disorder, Factor V Leiden. It was for a pre-caution against getting a clot in my lungs or heart after surgery. I feel much safer. I did not know how much it bothered me to have a subconscious fear about throwing a blood clot.

I feel like a weight was lifted off me now. I use to worry if I exercised or exerted myself I might throw a clot. Now I don't have to worry. I am going to leave it in permanently. It will be useful for any future surgeries too, like knee replacements, etc...

I don't, but I'm asking my doctor about installing one before the surgery. I have this huge fear of throwing a clot and it would go a long way into making me feel better.

So I think it was all in my mind...
IVC filter is doing its job and working great. 
I will be getting a call in about a week to remove it.
I am 9 days post op and doing excellent.

Now I am going to see if I can update my page.
