Don't be afraid to spice up your soups...I found this is what saved me.  Never underestimate the power of crushed red pepper and basil :)

Good luck - it gets easier I promise!  Also - Don't forget your protien!

Make sure you get your protein drinks in. It really helps curb the hunger pangs. I spruced up my bland chocolate protein with some of the Da Vinci sugar free coffee syrups. Kahulua and Caramel so yummy!
I got to eat oatmeal in the mornings and I would add a tsp of syrup and splenda and it took away the blandness that oatmeal is.
Drink lots of water. If you're like me and don't like water, Crystal Light or even Wal-Mart's sugar free 'kool-aide' is great. I've even gotten to the point now where I water it down because it taste's too sugary.
Oh...oh....another thing (sorry for carrying on, but I've been on this almost completely liquid pre-op for a week now and I've found lots of short cuts to get me through)...sugar free sno-cone syrup. If you pore that over crushed ice out of a blender....awesome snack!
Sugar free jello is great with a dollup of sugar free whipped cream too.
Wishbone Salad spritzers are awesome for your salad.

OK....think I'm done with liquid stuff. I'm not sure if you can have solids, but I hope this helps with the sweet tooth in you during this time. Oh...and I can't forget....sugar free popsicles are great too.

Now I'm really done, but don't hesitate to write me. I'll be happy to share anything more. My main emphasis was making my protein drinks ever changing so I wouldn't get burnt out during this time. And fortunately, a lot of what I've learned I can use this week while I'm on post-op liquid diet.

Good luck!
Hugs,
Sher

I'm on day 3 today, It's getting harder for me because I'm at work today.

I've been using the surgar free syrups too.  I keep trying different things and even made the Protien Chi yesterday.  It will do for now. I just keep telling myself , in a week it will be worth it, then a couple more weeks....

So just for today, I can make it !

Same days it doesn't pay to chew the restraints off...

Drink a lot of water in between.  It's really helped me not feel hungry.

the first 3-4 days are the hardest...you will survive and it will be okay~!!

I look back now and realize that having to be on  a liquid diest pre-op, helps you sort of ease into what the first couple of weeks will be like after surgery....
