New to board - July 1st

I'm new to the board... this has all transpired in the last few weeks.  I have a date on July 1st for Gastro Bypass RNY.  I'm not nervous at all just very excited to get it done.  I'm having it done at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA... anyone else having their's there?

Hi I am not sure what is your name, I am having my surgery on July 1st I am not nervous either just happy, after all this appoinments that I have to go to and till got to more stress test and a holter monitor on my daughter graduation, i am more thatn ready, I was suprise went the dr office called me and said that they are going to submitted everything to the ins and my date will be on 7/1 I just hope everything goes well.  I am having mines in Edison, NJ.

My name is Karen and I am in Jacksonville, FL (I think we are about as far distance wise as you can be Wash to FL).  I too am having Gastric Bypass RNY on July 1st down here at Flagler Hospital in St Augustine Florida.  I have been looking to build a support system so that I can be there for others and they can be there for me during all the changes.  I too am so excited that I am finally on this part of my journey.  I am only worried about how I will handle the emotional high's and lows.  Food has very much been an emotional crutch for me and saying good bye to such a close friend feels ok intellectually, but I am not sure what kind of fall out I will experience emotionally over the next months.  That is why I know I need other people to share my journey.  Let me know if you are looking for a support group also.  Good Luck with everything, Karen

Thank you for replying.  Can you believe it's less than 2 weeks away.  I wish you the best of luck and would love to stay in contact with you.  I've only been on this site a couple times so it's all pretty new to me.  is there a board for just July 1st people?

Hi, My name is Pamela and I'm also having surgery on July 1st. I"m from Ontario Canada but am having the surgery done in Warren Michigan at the Henry Ford Hospital. I'm very excited too and can't wait to get my new life started.
