Hi Dee! Congrats again on your surgery date! My doctor recommends 70-90g of protein per day. The first few days it may be hard to get down enough, so as much as your little pouch can handle. Try for 1.5 oz every 20 minutes if you can. ---jan---

Lily, Thanks for your message. My surgery is being done by Dr. Huacuz in Tijiuna. This morning I had a doctors appointment to tell him what I was doing. He is really excited for me. I was expecting a lecture about having it done in Mexico. He fully supports this and has had two family members and 7 or 8 other patients that have gone to Mexico. He said the insurance companies just make it impossable to have it done here. I concur!!!! I have been able to add strained creamed soups and sugar free pudding....never tasted anything so good in my life!!!! I have talked to an RN here in Arizona that had hers done by your doctor and she is thrilled with her results. Please stay in touch. I will email you as soon as get back to let you know how it went.
